Can be a nice guy, but dont let that fool you. Offers no other assignments to help you, teaches using a different book from the students, consistently fails his students but doesnt realize that its his own teaching. Worst of all, he thinks all of his students are dumb which shows how much he really cares about student success. DO NOT TAKE!

Grades are determined by exams alone, which are often confusing. He mostly talks about math, even though its a chem class and the exams only have a little math. He treats students like they are stupid and often talks down to us.

I like Professor Bottger as a person, he is a nice guy and tries to get to know his students. He cares about student progress and will answer any questions you have in class. He is very hard to reach via email and he is a tough grader. But as long as you go to class and show effort, you will pass.

This professor made me HATE math. I changed my major because of him. He embarrasses you and makes you feel so stupid in front of everyone. His exams are super difficult and he's not helpful at all. Makes you feel like a burden

Do. Not. Take. I happen to LOVE math. He makes me hate it. "This is not in the book" is his fav saying. I can't take his brain home to study! Oddball grading. i had to argue that my equal sign was not a negative sign. Hate. Hate. Hate.

AWFUL. Was a Math Major b/c of him I switched. Makes you feel stupid in front of class. Barely goes over problems/questions. Expects you to know everything. Disrespectful. Class ended at 8:10 but wouldn't let us leave till 8:30. Even those who were REALLY good at Calc had a hard time passing. Quiz every week. Very hard to get back on track. Boring.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Not a fan. This guy does not even teach and he gets mad when you try to make him teach. He puts an example on the board really fast then gives us a problem to solve. 10 seconds later he asks if anyone has the answer and when we ask for help or if somebody gets the right answer but diff way he gets mad. CLASS SUCKS

He's not an absolutely terrible professor, but he is not that good either. He gives you one or two examples and then makes you solve problems based in it. Sometimes his explanations are not clear and a bit confusing. All the homework comes from the textbook,so make sure you get it. You,ll probably hate the class, but it's not as bad as it sounds.

He does not teach. He writes a problem on the board and tells you to solve it. Then asks if anyone has the answer. If you did not complete the answer his way he criticizes you. I honestly love math but he makes me loath it. I had to seek outside help to understand that I already knew what he was confusing me of. Horrific teacher don't take him.

DO NOT TAKE HIM unless you are absolutely amazing with math. He moves through lessons way to quickly, grades homework (why would you grade MATH homework?!), and gives quizzes every week. He sucks. Does not know how to teach. I've always liked math and I'm good at it. I went to tutoring twice a week for this class and still failed.

OH MY GOD ! where do I begin ?? This c*ckmaster was the reason I dropped this class and had to retake it. He cant teach worth a sh*t. BEWARE of him. he pops pills in the middle of class, sweats uncontrollably, and if you ask for help, he LOL's at you ! thats right, in the middle of class ! Math is my subject and I found this class real easy for me. I liked him as a professor and liked the class. It all depends on how you feel about math, if you like it and aren't stubborn take him. If you hate math take someone else.

I'm a math lover and he made this subject very difficult. He taught things the way he wanted it done so if you had previously learned it a different way you have to learn his new, twisted way. It's difficult to know how you're doing in the course because of his grading. I don't suggest anyone take him unless he's all you have to choose from.

This teacher sucks...dont take him you will not do well..he compares us to his NJIT students...we are definitely not there...if you want to pass this class...take someone else.
