Bradshaw is hilarious. If you show up to class and pay attention, it is easy to do well. He is a fairly easy grader, and he is very lenient. Most of these negative reviews are probably from students that consistently skipped class and are upset that they received a poor grade.

In order to get a high grade in this class you must show up and you must pay attention. His class is based very heavily on attendance. You get one point for every lecture you attend and five for every lecture you participate in. Beware! This class is really really boring. Again, you must pay attention in order to pass.

Bradshaw has always been one of my favorites at SWOSU. I've had him for both English Comp. classes and for his Philosophy class a little later. His grading is clear and to the point. He encourages attendance. He listens and works with student's issues if you have them. He's a bit quirky, but fun to be around if you have a sense of humor.

Oh man, I loved Philosophy with Bradshaw. Especially because he was very upfront about the class being abstract-as-hell when he started the lecture with "Philosophy is about everything and nothing." He also got bonus points with me for having a Bradbury novel as course material. (Fahrenheit 451, sucka.)

Awful professor. VERY boring and incredibly useless information. He repeated the same few things every class period and then tested us over things he hadn't taught us. It wasn't too hard, just a complete waste of time. I would recommend any other professor before him.

Comment:
Professor Bradshaw's Philosophy class was almost completely lecture based, so taking good notes is essential. His tests were relatively easy: 25 questions, multiple choice. Make sure you actually go to class! It is important for both your grade and for notes! He covers a lot of information, so studying is a must. Read your assignments on time too.

Had him for philosophy. Lectures everyday, the entire class period. Requires lots of note taking and lots of reading. The book is necessary. Talks a lot to the students in the front of the class. Knows students by name. Attendance is mandatory.

This is a fairly easy teacher who gives his students a lot of leeway. You never use the book for homework, only during lectures. He likes to experiment with teaching styles a lot and WILL single you out if you sit near the front. He has a great sense of humor though, and appreciates jokes & internet memes. Fun professor. Recommended.

Nice guy. Lectures everyday. He assigns a lot of readings but also gives out many hand outs that help. If you don't like interacting then don't sit in the front because he will just point and talk to people. Overall a decent professor.

I leave this class every day feeling like I learned nothing. He'll discuss every facet of every topic without leading you to a distinct idea, then he'll test you on the topic and will include every aspect you talked about as a possible answer. Supposedly encourages individual thought, but refuses to consider anyone else's opinion... Hated it.

Cool teacher that engages the mind. Had no idea philosophy could be interesting. Not much into the socrates thing but the information relative to real life application is great. Great teacher highly recommend.
