This class was a joke, in fact I wrote in to faculty regarding it. He missed class for an entire week no notice, doesn't treat students with respect rolls his eyes and huffs at you for asking for clarity. on average would have 10 pages of notes a class on pure case study, don't expect to learn anything sociological. tests are just random questions

BRING YOUR LAPTOP TO CLASS, sit in the front, pay attention and type out everything he says. Looking back, i should have recorded his lectures because he talks fast and his voice is monotone. (Of course ask him if you're allowed to first). He's actually not that bad of a teacher. I had him for Sociology 255 - Criminology, and got a C+

Worst prof ever! Do not take his class and if you do, don't take his 8am class you will be drained for the remained of the day. His teaching style is very old school. No blackboard, no reviews, no notes. He speaks from the top of his head and is all over the place. He is hard to understand and speaks very fast. DO NOT SKIP if u want to pass.

I found this class to be quite difficult. Although i liked him as a person and thought his personality was humorous his teaching style did not help make the course content interesting and memorable. Tests were mainly on lectures, specifically on little facts or statistics he mentioned. I would not suggest this prof if you want good grades.

Avoid this Prof at all cost. He mumbles a lot when lecturing and is very hard to understand. He gives exams only 30 questions long, with each mark on a midterm exactly equalling 1% on your final grade. 10 questions wrong on your midterm? 10% off your final grade.

I believed this class would be simple as what he taught about was all things I have learned in the past courses until exams came where I learned he tests you on seemingly unrelated and incredibly specific details of his painful lectures where almost all the class looks around at each other a few times in confusion because no one can understand him

Stands at the front and talks. He puts little to no notes on the board. I began the class writing in a note book but I soon turned to typing on my laptop because his lectures jump around and he adds to points that have long passed. I also had to go back and redo my notes after the lecture to make sense of them

Do yourself a favour and skip this prof IF possible. He doesn't post notes, he speaks for the whole duration of the class, so be awoken up and ready to write prior to attendance. He didn't show up for THREE of my 8AM classes with no notice whatsoever. He is not easily approachable, plus his lectures are boring. His exams however are 'fairly' easy.

His grading scheme was the hardest thing about the course, every mark on the exams was worth one percent of the final grade and there were no assignments. Exams would test very specific points that weren't very important to the course. Overall it was an alright course, lectures were a bit hard to follow but the exmaples were interesting.

He would often come to class looking disheveled and would teach without shoes on. Very unprofessional. His lectures were hard to follow and completely oral. He changed the date of the midterm and only announced it once in class, so the students who missed that day either missed or were unprepared for midterm.

Avoid if possible. He stands in front of the class mumbling confusing sentences. Half of exam consist of in class material and half is on textbook material. Unfortunately it is hard to understand any of his in class lectures. Sit at the front of class and type your notes. You might end up having to teach yourself the entire course.

Avoid if you can. I dropped his course because it was dragging my GPA down too much. He mumbles and is hard to understand most of the time. Type your notes instead of writing because you won't be able to get everything otherwise.

John is very unprofessional, has come to class on multiple occasions looking wasted. He mumbles a lot, and rather fast. Take a laptop, you wont be able to write fast enough. Exams include minute details of his mumbled speeches. Class average was 66% on first midterm, NOT a GPA booster. Avoid if you can.

SOCI 225 - Criminology -- MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND EVERY CLASS and listen to everything he says. He doesn't post anything online and only writes "short notes" on the board. However, you're tested on everything he says in class. WORD OF ADVICE: bring a laptop so you can type out everything he says!!!

He seemed okay in the beginning, but his lectures are really boring. His 8 am classes dragged on and if you missed something he said in the lecture he won't tell you. Probably cause he won't remember. Asking him questions are pointless he just tells you to ask a classmate. I did not enjoy his teaching style , though his jokes were somewhat funny.

Awful class. Monotone voice. Exams pretty easy, but hard to want to attend class when it is strictly lecture. Often dismisses class over an hour early. I recommend finding a different prof.

Just lectures all class and doesnt write notes on the board or powerpoints. Does not use blackboard learning. Repeats himself a lot. Really Boring Class but only 3 exams no cumulative and only about 25-40 questions. Read textbook and write down everything he says.

He is AWESOME. I really liked him, plus he is hilarious. He is a little mono-toned though. You do have to read the text book to pass the tests though, so it takes a bit of reading if your not interested in sociology at all. He's not too interested in teaching the material it seems. His tests are very straight forward, and he is a fair marker.

ok class and the tests were short but not based on textbook theory. I spent hours studying the text, and then got thrown off with questions based on lectures(weird facts he mentioned once) pay attention to lectures and take notes! hard to hear him so sit at front if u can. Nice man, relatively short and easy exams!
