EASY class. Quizzes are directly from the handouts (which he goes over in class and there is 1 for each chapter). Exams are made up from quizzes. The multiple choice is impossible, because you'd have to read all of the chapters, but it's only 20 points on the exam. Passed with a B. Hardly went to class. He tells good past invesment stories too.

Notes are unorganized and hard to read at times, and the problems you're tested on come directly from the notes, nowhere to be found in the text. Reading an exuberant number of pages for a minimal number of questions on each test (only 1/5 of the test from the reading) is a waste of time. Did not enjoy this class.

Awesome teacher. He gives quizzes throughout the semester and drops two of the lowest scores. He practically tells you what to study. The multiple choice is hard on his exams. You have to read the book and know details to get the multiple choice questions right. Cheney gives you partial credit if you at least show your work! TAKE HIM!!!

Very nice guy. The quizzes and tests are very straightforward. You need the book to get 20% on his test, the rest are math problems that he covers in class. If you study his class materials and the quizzes before the test, you should easily get that 80%. Attendance is not mandatory, but "if you miss a lecture, you miss alot!

GREAT professor! Wonderful lectures. This class you will get a lot out of it. Go to class and take notes. Read the book for the multiple choice questions. Challenging, but manageable if you know what you are talking about. Take him!

I have never worked so hard in a class...however I've also never learned so much as well! Cheney knows so much about investments! You have to go to class and take good notes to get an A in his class. Know all the problems on the handouts, and you are good to go!

Nice man, horrible at teaching. I got by with B's only through study groups, reading the book, and teaching myself the material. He's very intelligent, just not great at teaching!! He is also very forgetful....

Awesome professor! If you miss class you will miss a lot of material, book is used to make up 20% of exams-multiple choice questions on exams. 3 exams, no cumulative final, 7 quizzes he drops the two lowest. The cumulative quizzes count as an exam grade, no make ups for quizzes but he usually announces the dates.

Did not like him as a teacher at all. Rushes through the material and the formulas he uses aren't in the book half the time. If you don't understand something, you are screwed because he seems irritated when you go to his office for help and rushes you out. Nice guy, but not a good professor. The only good thing is that he gives partial credit.

Cheney is the best Finance professor at UCF. He actually relates this crap to the world. He is not demanding, but just like any class if you don't go to class you miss A LOT! Great choice for a professor!

awesome teacher. just listen to what he says. he is obviously an investment genius. if you go to class and listen to him you'l do fine. the book is only for multiple choice questions on the test, the rest comes from his lectures. easy A or B if you put in a little effort.

This class was ridiculous! It would help if the book and the teacher coincided with each other! If you don't understand something in class you are screwed because the math problems are not in the book. Tests are impossible. Most people did poorly. I have to take it over again next semester!
