Interacting with John inspired me. He is brilliant yet kind and an excellent teacher. I was excited to go to classes and learned loads. I'm a senior and he may be my favorite professor I had. Take his classes any chance you get and your life will be enriched.

If you cant get at least a b in this class you got problems. I had/have zero interest in asian history but did well in his class because 1 he goes over every essay question answer before the tests 2 tells you the answers to the reading quizes before you take it in class no joke and 3 tells you every thing you need to know so you dont need the book

Dr. Didier is one of the smartest and wisest human beings I have ever come into contact with. For John education is so much more than getting a good mark in class, it is a critical part of an individual's self discovery of their own identity. Take a course from him if you can, you will get a huge amount out of it if you give your best effort.

He's a good teacher and I liked the class. Believe me that's good when I had to get up at 7 to get to class on time. His exams are essay based but you get to choose 3 out of 5 options for what to write about. Listen for what he wants, have good notes and use your head.
