He is very nice, but very monotone. He wears a hearing aid, so he can't always hear the questions being asked. Even when he hears the questions, he doesn't always understand what is being asked.

This guy is too smart to be teaching intro classes. He assumes you know "basic" principles not discussed in class. Tests are much harder than HW, he throws a ton of crazy questions at you. Really nice guy tho.

it was very hard for me to stay awake. he calls on people randomly in class, so make sure you're there (he uses notecards for this). tests are pretty hard. problems sets every week, he sometimes spends a whole class doing practice problems from the book. easily sidetracked, and doesnt explain the material as well as he should

Really really nice guy, decent teacher. Really funny but gets sidetracked easily. Teaches almost straight from the book. I HATE math but I enjoyed the class as well as possible.

He is quite a decent fellow, interested in helping out his students; however, his class is difficult, especially at 9 AM. He has an excellent dry sense of humor. Unfortunately, the tests can kick your butt if you're not mathematically inclined. Not too bad, though... probably the best choice for GER 1

Dr. Drew is extremely helpful, especially if you go to his office hours for homework help. Seems to really care about his students and likes to tell personal stories. Grades homework really strictly, but if you do the work and get his help this class is easy.

Around a lot to answer questions but doesnt actually answer then. talks over ur head and makes u feel stupid if you u dont understand the material. interesting material but gives questions that arent like the homework. has hilarious dry humor tho. tells great stories

Professor Drew is a genuinely nice guy who tries to convey his love of math to his students. Unfortunately, this class didn't make me too interested. The tests are long and fairly difficult, and the class drags on like no other. Worst hour ever. Still, a very nice guy.

John Drew basically killed all of us at 9 am -- he was very unclear and condescending -- the only good thing is that at the end he curved up our grades so the class average was a B- (that means most of us still didn't do very well). Avoid this guy if you can.

He was a nice guy and tried to make the class interesting. Sometimes he would mess up completely and we'd have to set him straight but in the end i think it tested us and ended up being helpful. I felt bad for being so bored in this class... I had taken AP Stat - 5 this covered less material.

I enjoyed the class! If you do the homework and take good notes, you will do well on the take home exams. Homework is tricky and counts a lot, but he helps out if you go to his office. (Don't be surprised if he's sleeping though!)

Even though I had him almost ten years ago, I still remember him as one of the best math professors I ever had. Excellent teacher!!!
