Comment:
I wish lectures where more guided by the book or by lectures themselves. He tends to rename things in his own words than in the book and causes a lot of confusion at times. Lectures are hard to sit through with very little visual stimulus. He does not use power point for lectures he writes notes on the board as we go and can be very unorganized.

He is the best psych professor at OSU. He knows what he's talking about and he makes sure everyone else knows what he's talking about. He's very kind and patient. It's very easy to understand him. If you get the chance to take one of his classes, do not hesitate! It's an honor to be one of his students.

Easy pass for a 400 level course. Dr. Edwards is fun, thoughtful, polite and concerned with his students success. If you are a psy major and take this before stats or other psy courses, you will get your feet wet and some prep at no cost to you. Make sure you can drag yourself out of bed-its early but worth it!

First off, Psychology of Meditation is the most interesting class I have taken in my college career. The class is taught by two professors, and the didactic nature is amazing. Edwards brings a scientific approach, while McCullough brings the Zen background. Overall, a definite must take course.

Dr. Edwards is an amazing teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable, to the point that he does not use powerpoint, instead writing on the chalk board. The man knows his social psychology, and is a fair grader. You will need to read the book as he bases a fair portion on material only touched on in class. Overall, he makes you care about the subject.

Hot pepper? puke in my mouth (no offense). His grade was based on 2 midterms, which were poorly written and unclear. The lowest grade on my transcripts came from a guy that can't practice what he "teaches". He's too lazy to help you, if you need it, he answers questions with questions (unlike his tests).

He was so great! I learned so much and somehow, 2 terms later, I still remember most of it. Definitely take his class, even though it will be challenging.

Apparently Mr. Edwards read the comment that said don't buy the book, because he took examples on his tests from the book, but managed to convolute concept?...i.e. clarity is questionable. So if you like to glean what he means by inference take the class. I love psychology..but this class dampened my vigor toward the subject.

Awesome professor. Really understands the material and explains it really well. I only read the first chapter of the book but got As or Bs on all the tests (as was the same for many students). Really made my love social psych. It's cute when he laughs at his own jokes.

Lectures were clear and logically. I felt that I understood the material every step of the way and his comments out of class were VERY helpful. Testing, however was not based on his lectures. They were a lot tougher than anticipated.

A very clear teacher, extremely nice and very helpful when asking questions. His tests (at least when I was taking him) are based on a B- curve which makes them graded pretty lightly (easy). He does make you study quite a bit of information for each test and will have you taking a ton of notes each class. He loves North Carolina Basketball.

GREAT teacher; really laid back and casual, interested in being a fun prof and actually getting you interested in the subject. This course was a tough subject but he tried very hard to make it clear for us and was more than willing to help if we asked. Has a sense of humor, a definite plus! Highly recommend you take any course from him!

Very nice man, willing to explain things a million times if you don't understand it. I took the honors section, so the tests were all essay. He grades fairly and there isn't a ton of reading.
