This professor is excellent. He made every minute count in class. I liked the debates, readings, movies and even the papers. They really make you think and learn. This is the reason I attend college...to think and learn. I really enjoyed his class and will take another one with him.

I had him when he was a visiting Professor at UNF. It was by far the easiest course I have ever taken; a seminar at that too. All you do is the assigned reading, show up for class, write like 5 papers; 4 short 6-8 pages and one was 15 to 20 pages. He was always available for help and even gave the class his home number. Great Professor.JU is lucky

Worst teacger at JU. Makes you do debates on the strangest topics which you cant find info on and his tests are all essay and is the most ANAL when it comes to grammer. He takes 1 point off for any grammer mistakes. I though this was a history course? He is so boring and looks like the school counselor from South Park

Dr Garrigus is an excellent teacher. He does require many papers to be written for his class however I have never had a history teacher make the material come alive. I wish all teachers made learning so enjoyable!

Excellent teacher. I had Dr. Garrigus for Latin American studies. I had no interest in the subject prior to the class, but he made it very interesting. He is always available outside of class for discussion. GREAT TEACHER. I would take him for another class even though I do not need it to graduate.

He is possibly from hell, or a region near buy it. He is perfectly fair, if you are a communist. Seriously, I don't understand why professors feel the need to be extremists. If you want an interesting history instrctor, take Blanton or Thomas.
