This class was pretty hard which is what you expect from an intermediate accounting class. However, you have to teach yourself a lot of the material. I was able to get an A but I had to work extremely hard.

The class itself was hard, but Mr. Gillett did his best to explain the material in an easy-to-follow manner. He was willing to go over the same material multiple times when the class didn't understand it. Tests weren't too bad as long as you studied well. I got a solid B in this class even though I barely managed to get a C in 301.

Not an easy professor and I'm pretty sure only 1 person got an A. But a B is not hard to get. 20% of the grade is attendance so go to class. The tests are hard, but he does curve (usually 6-8 pts). You do actually remember the material in his class because you have to know it by heart for the tests. Nice guy in general though.

The class itself is pretty easy. Professor Gillette likes to cut through the **** and give you what you really need. Overall, a pretty easy straightforward "A".

Test material can be tough, but he does curve each exam fairly well. As long as you go to class, pay attention, and ask questions, you should be fine. If not, I would suggest changing majors.

He was absolutely horrid. Again, learned NOTHING from him, taught myself out of the book. Stick with Wilcox, you'll thank yourself a hundred times over!

Dr. Gillett is an excellent teacher, with all due respect to Dr Wilcox, I found Dr Gillett's approach to the course better than 301 with Wilcox. Exams are shorter, and explinations are more clear. If you liked Dr Wilcox's methods in 301 stick with him, but if not Dr Gillett may make more sense.

This guy sucks. He needs to give up teaching. After taking classes at another university, I found out how much he really can't teach. I learned 10 times more and wasn't treated like crap. Take the advice of this page and take the classes with Wilcox.

I took Dr. Gillett's classes twice, and I found him to be very interesting. He is challenging, but so is the material. Get to know him outside of class and you'll find that he's a really nice person.

Not too bad.... If you enjoy being ripped apart and made an exmple of everytime you ask a question. I thought i understood the concepts, but no. Teaches right out of the book, like it's right there in front of him through out clas

I don't have a clue what I did in that class. He needs to stick with administrative work and skip the teaching because although he tried to teach, it was like a foreign language coming out of his mouth.

I don't know why everyone else is so harsh on him! I have done very well in his class. Although sometimes he rambles on, I think that he makes accounting very easy to understand. His tests are pretty easy too if you do the homework.
