I had Dr. Grew for his online sexual biology course BIOL 225. Positives+Negatives : He gives you a LOT of time to accomplish his assignments, he will changes due dates unexpectedly, GRADE TOUGH, offers extra credit, NONE of his practice questions for the chapters match his ACTUAL quizzes/tests, he times you for every test and you get one chance.

Comment:

Dr. Grew is one of the most finest professors the biology department has got to offer. Was not particularly thrilled on how he flipped the histology class because I'm more of an in-class learner. As for immunology, it was indeed a tough class but worth every time. He spends time breaking info down. He's always prepared and so should the student.

Took immuno with him, best class ever!! He's simply a genius of a professor in addition to being a great chairperson. He knows his tough inside out and is excellent at explaining difficult concepts with ease. Highly recommend him for any course. You must study and work hard nonetheless, exams are tough but very fair. Personality wise his great!

I loved being in his classes! He really knows his stuff and he challenges you. He was always organized. His test are tough but if you pay attention and study you will pass. He is available for questions after class. Like anything in life you get what you put into it. He was one of my favorite professors at NJCU. If you want to learn he is the best!

dr. grew is an excellent teacher. people that rate him poorly are prob upset that he actually made them think. this teacher will not hand you an A, you have to work for it. He makes you own the material. People should stop expecting to coast through college and actually try to learn.

If he would sit back for a while and realize that most students are really trying.I wanted to learn but he has not mastered the skill of being a person and then a teacher. Once he mastered these two then he will teach better. No one does a lab like him, directing labs GREAT! and no ONE FALES AS MUCH STUDENTS AS HIM.Many D's & F go out his class.

He’s a great professor! His lectures are clear and organized. The course load is average & the material is quite easy to grasp, especially after taking PB I& II. I enjoyed his class very much…. I would retake it again anytime!

This class was one of my worse, professor Grew made it horrible, he is to complicated. His test is hard,his extra credit is rediculous, he aims to make his students fail! The subject is not hare it him. He wants things how he wants it. Hey you don't have a life in his class. He is borning !!!!!

Very good professor. A little boring with the power point but i you pay attention and read the chapters you'll pass the class. He is very, very helpfull. Doing the practice quizes on the CDROM of the book will help you a lot. HARD tests usually 2 essays out of 5... Good luck!
