I've had Holland for three semesters. His lectures consist solely of reading the chapter and having his students highlight certain sections of the chapter for the test. For thes tests, those "highlights" are the only things that are on the test. He doesn't do the whole trick questions either. Gives a grade bump if missed less four classes.

Fun teacher but not without problems. He has trouble reading from the book and with volume, pronunciation which makes him hard to follow at times. Homework isn't hard but can be time consuming and he won't accept it if it's late even if you had good reason. Good sense of humor and easy class. Do your work and you'll pass without problem.

First class in Butte for AJ degree. Criminology was exactly what I expected for a Cop class. Assignments were clear from day 1 and tests were easy. Holland is a great professor in his field and his jokes are funny. If you show up and are serious about a law enforcement career, you will like the course.

Best teacher ever! I wish I could take him for every class. He is funny and has great stories from his days in law enforcement. He does everything he can to help you pass the class. There are assigned readings from the book, one assignment per chapter, and four tests. I loved him!

Holland has some interesting stories from the 28yrs that he was a cop. He mixes them into his lectures. Really good stories. He goes over EVERY single test question. The only thing you have to do to get an A is read the book. 3-6pg paper every week-ALL of it is just COPYING the book though. This class was fun, easy,& has a good teacher. Enjoy.

very funny, honest teacher. he has lots of stories from his experience in the field.the homework was simple and the tests weren't very hard. He goes through the chapter and tells you what to highlight and that is what is on the test. definitely recommended!

Have taken multiple classes with Holland and he's one of my favorite teachers. He basically gives you the answers to tests by what you highlight n his homework is easy for having a week to do it. Even without attending every class I will get at least a B in his class. Definitely a great instructor!

Love, love, love Holland. He has a passion for what he teaches. I heard some of the best stories ever in this class and they all pertain to what he's teaching. Show up and do your work and you'll be fine. Chapter outline due once a week on the chapter going over. Then you review and highlight the test questions. Every 3 chapters there's a test.

Easiest A I've ever received! All you need to do is show up with your book and be prepared to highlight. He makes that class fun and interesting. He has a ton of great life experiences to relate to ALL of the subjects that are covered. Def take one of his classes if you need an AJ coarse!
