This guy needs to be fired. He tries to get half the class to drop then the other half fail. He doesn't explain things. Horrible public speaker. You don't learn anything unless you read the book. Waste of time to go to class. Probably one of the worse i ever.

if at all possible do not take this guy....he cant finish a sentance...if someone asks a question in class he will tralk about it but rarely answer it...and he uses a laser pointer non stop and it gets really annoying cause sometimes he doesnt point at what he is talking about

By far the worst prof I have ever had. He might know chemistry well, but you can not tell by the way he teaches. He complicates the entire subject and makes it impossible to learn. A quarter of the class dropped after the first test. If you are capable of teaching it to yourself, you may do ok. If you need/want to be taught, he is not a prof to get

Great guy, and when it comes to experimental petrology he's definitely of high caliber... but as an instructor he is by far the worst I've had at ASU. He cannot explain the simplest concepts without going in circles, and his PowerPoint slideshows aren't very useful. Avoid if possible.

Do not get Holloway if you are thinking about it. This man can not teach. His tests are unbelievably hard, even if he is funny some times.
