I took his class years ago and I think he liked me....judging by the way he hugged me at the bar but when I saw my grade it was a whole other feeling. I hated that class but that wasn't his fault...although, he SHOULD lighten up on the grading.....its a little ridiculious. I wouldn't take it.....

He doesn't take attendance but go to class. If you take notes, you'll never have to do your reading. I got in the habit of never doing my reading, but then I missed lectures so I had no idea what was going on. He hardly check his e-mail, and he even forgot about an appointment I made with him thru email, but he's gives out his home phone.

Wonderful class. His lectures are very entertaining and he does a great job explaining difficult material. Also, he gives a good study outline. His tests are all essay questions, and he is a fairly easy grader. There is one big paper you have to do that is worth almost 1/3 of your grade. Easy, fun class...highly recommend!

EASY! He tells you everything you need to know for tests. Memorize the ideas and famous people and you will get an A! I only studied for 30 minutes before each test b/c i took great notes(DON'T skip Class!!) and I got an A on every test. Please take him if you want an easy A!

he was very nice and helpful. the class was interesting at times and painfully boring at others. he was a little strange though- he sweat profusely and could not stop moving around. he had a very distracting powerpuff girl key ring haning from his waist all the time.

John is possibly the best teacher I've had at the University. His class is so interesting and makes the short reading assignments something you look forward to,believe it or not!
