Easy A for now. He posts lecture notes and reviews previous material each class. Quizzes are easy, mostly five multiple choice questions, one being extra credit. The exam is an essay, and questions are given ahead of time. Extra credit is from the book. The notes are enough, and his book is a nice supplement that will provide more clarity.

Please don't take Dr.K. Hes not a bad guy but unless your Philosoph major this class was unnecessarily hard. My main point: He wants you to come up with your own ideas about the topic and not summarize. Doesnt help you come up with your own ideas. What are YOU gonna come up with that hasnt been thought up by Aristotle and Aquinas? Boooringggggggg

Metaphysics. I took this course fall '10... very boring class and I don't remember anything I learned in there. 2 essay tests, essay, and cumulative essay final. The material is tough to understand and write about, mostly because it was so boring/pointless to me but weekly quizzes were easy.

Didn't enjoy his class. His exams are essays and he gives you the questions beforehand. Writes everything that you need to know on the board. I guess the subject itself was hard to understand. On top of that he makes up his own words. His exams tests your understanding. Quiz once a week

Dr K. is the best philosophy professor I have had yet, and I hate philosophy. His class, however, was bearable, if not enjoyable! He provides notes for you, and if you study them, you will get an A. I think I actually learned some things in this philosophy. I highly reccommend him!

Great prof, but he makes-up his own words, and uses multiple of these words for one meaning; this is very confusing. The Owens text for the course does not make any sense and is a difficult read.

Dr. Knasas was a WONDERFUL professor! Yes, the subject matter is difficult for the average person, but after making a trip or two to his office, everything made sense. He was NEVER condescending, and it is unfortunate that more people don't appreciate him or metaphysics.

If Dr. Knasas did not give A's to everyone, his ratings would be very low. He is not good at explanation, communication or even staying on the topic. He makes it clear that his interest os not in teaching undergraduates, whom he constantly insults without even realizing it. Really a waste of time and money unless you just want an easy A.

Yes the name of the class and the instructor are intimidating as HELL!!! However, it is a required class for almost all the students. If you keep up with the material, his exams are very easy. He tells you exactly what to study. He is a bit confusing and one of thhose instructors that has so much knowledge of his subject that he can't teach you on any other level. He however is a very understanding guy, I missed an exam and he let me make it up without fuss.

The texts that he chooses may be hard to understand, but he will help you through them if you just ask. His notes are great. The lectures can be a little boring at times, but they are helpful. Hope that your class understands the material and doesn't ask too many questions or else the class will be very boring.

Posts his notes online sometimes. The notes are very understandable and make his lectures clear. His lectures were very boring. Without the notes, I probably would have been screwed.
