Dr. Lawson is by far the man!I will agree with the comments that said he seems like a jerk at first, but once spending a couple of classes with him you realize that is NOT the case! He is fun and has a dramatic way of interacting. Class did suck when he just went over the info in the book but other than that it was always fun.

Kind of a different guy. He didn't do anything out of the book until the final or midterm, which were both very difficult, the midterm was take home, but I still couldn't find 1/3 of the answers. Wouldn't be my first choice but he is a nice guy.

Lawson is the sh*t! He doesn't hold back when giving feedback, but that is what you should want in a professor. If you are soft skinned stay away, but if you want a truthful professor that will help you to become a better writer take him. He knows what he is talking about, he's about to have a book published. I'm very amorous of him.

Did not like him at first. He's very blunt, outspoken, yet really funny. By the end of the semester, I loved him! If you're a good writer, you can easily blow him away. He goes into class thinking everyone's a bad writer, but I blew him away, which earned a lot of respect. Just work hard, he's easy

A different kind of personality. Was first class I had at RMU and really enjoyed it. He can be rather blunt at times and if you don't try very hard he'll let you know! He isn't everybody's cup of tea, but I enjoyed him. If you are open to different views and ideas, take him!

He'll grow on you - eventually. Interesting personality. Really knows his stuff - you will learn an incredible amount of information if you pay attention. I thought I knew how to write - until I took his class. And now I REALLY know how to write! Try his class - you'll love it.

Dr. Lawson is a good guy once you get to know him. The first two weeks or so of class consist of him calling everyone by last names and throwing out very strange words and alternate names for things, but once you're past that he is cool. Pay attention when he offers you help with a paper.
