you lose points for missing class, you have to wear a nametag, and leave your phone on his desk if you need to use the restroom. do yourself a favor and look for another instructor. THis one is condescending and unbending.

Nice man. Very strict on attendance. Talks about his political views a lot. If your tardy he gets really mad. Very helpful. Overall good teacher. Cares about his students. Do all the homework and STUDY. Not a class for slackers. Not that difficult to get an A if you put in the time.

Oh, Prof Llorens... he's such an animated teacher. Took Span 401 & 402 with him in Fall '11 & Spr '12. He doesn't like tardiness and will call you on it. He's a native speaker and very passionate about his culture. He's very... outspoken. Good professor, but not for the easily-offended.

Professor Llorens should not be teaching. His lectures and assignments are not clear. In my entire college career I have always stuck it out till the end even if I knew I was going to have to re take it, not with him. If you hesitate when he calls on you he moves on and then lectures the class about what you're doing wrong and makes you feel stupid

Attendance & tardiness are mandatory. He's a native Spanish speaker & you can tell he's used to the culture in Spain, but if you take the class seriously & put in the effort you should pass easily. Slack off & procrastinate & you'll definitely struggle & fail. The choice is yours. He doesn't demand perfection but does demand a respectable effort.

He is a not bad teacher, who goes through the homework with u but his teaching skills is a little lacking. Most of the stuff u have to learn has to be learned on your own. He is not that good at explaining things. the homework is easy but does not cover much of what ever is on the test.

I was an Army linguist for 5 years and Professor Llorens reminds of the teachers I had in language school. This is the kind of person you want to teach you a language. The book is all in Spanish and he encourages you to use the language often which is importat in learning a foreign language. It is harder, but you will have better language skills

I was in this class for one week. I did my best, and I had no clue what was going on. He was very difficult gave a tun of homework... While he did teach things, he failed to explain how the heck this applies to the class. After the first test, I realized it was time for me to go, to save my GPA. I'd choose differently if given the choice.

I have had Professor Llorens for my 401 and 402 spanish classes. I would highly reccomend him to students who have realistic expectations for a language class-of course it is a harder class than most. I have gotten A's in both classes bacause he is helpful, knowledgable, and generally cares for his students more than most professors I have taken.

yes his class is fast paced but what do you expect from a language class? all in all he has a lot of energy and he is cool to be around. If you cant pronounce a word he is not condescending or rude but he helps you through it(unlike other language professors). Loved his class & will take him again.

very unprofessional,he's rude, and expects you to work at a fast pace. He wants you to be perfect in Spanish in a week! we all know that's impossible. I definitely wouldn't take him again and i advise you not to either!!!

Fun high energy teacher. Very practical teaching methods. Most grading is through tests, so study. His funny stories and quirks made the class much more enjoyable. A teacher who actually enjoys his job!

OK as a teacher, but the attendance thing is ridiculous!! I was absent ONCE and tardy a few times and it SIGNIFICANTLY dropped my grade. I did all my HW/WKBK, good(A,B's) on tests/quizzes, participated etc, but didn't matter!! Hugely disappointing and DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!! I really can't speak any better than before!! very book oriented

I actually know how to speak Spanish after his course. I love how he doesn't up with ****. If you're a slacker and rarely make an appearance to class, dont take this course. He extremely passionate about teaching and get everyone involved. My only pet peeve is he talks during videos!

He demands full attention, expects minimal absences, doesn't tolerate tardies, and discourages leaving class for a minute. We had a assigned spanish names & #'s, students corrected quizzes and workbook, hw was only stamped, and no extra credit except 1 freebee on each exam. He is very open. If you're A student, Great!, if you don't care, Good luck!
