There was no book required for this class, but it was a reading heavy course because all of his modules had several articles to read. You had to do a paper, usually 4-6 pages about every two weeks as long as you referenced the material and theories you could easily receive an A. His guidelines are clear and hes not a tough grader.

Do the work--You will pass. By far, Lynxwiler has been my favorite professor since transferring to UCF. I look forward to taking whatever classes he's teaching in the future.

The class is very organized and easy to follow. The assignments are doable and won't take up much of your time. You'll get an A as long as you put in the time and effort.

EASY GRADER. But you MUST read the course material. His course expectations are very straight-forward-- every other week you have a paper and that is all you have to remember. There's quite a bit to read and I used a lot of outside sources for my papers. However, he is great on grading as long as you explain the concepts well.

The class was extremely easy. Each week you will write around a page or so and have a quiz. Occasionally, there will be a discussion post you need to do as well. You don't even need a textbook to pass this class with an A. His free modules help a lot. He's an easy grader when it comes to the written assignments, never got less than a 100.

I took intro to sociology with John Lynxwiler, pretty much if you read the textbook you are good to go. Easy grader too.

Truly cares about the success of his students and making the material interesting. 1 quiz and homework paper (1/2-1page) every week, but super easy. Rent the book! It helps with the quizzes. Occasionally there is a short discussion post due with the other two assignments.

Very easy class! As long as you read the assignments and write the work you will pass. I wish I could take more of his classes. A lot of it is based on your opinion from the reading.

I took him online over the summer and the only assignments we had were 6 papers. NO tests, NO quizzes! The papers are a min of 1000 words - which is nothing. Maybe 2 pages? Don't let that scare you! He's a really easy grader, I got 100% on each paper I turned in. He even let me turn one in late for full credit too. I highly recommend taking him!!

Good professor. No exams which is a good thing, but there are many written assignments due throughout the semester so if you're fine with setting time aside to read and write then you should be okay. Relatively easy.

Extremely easy class. He grades easy. There's no textbook which is the best part! He doesn't waste time with BS; gets straight to the point in what he asks for. If you don't ace this course it's because you didn't turn in an assignment. Assignments were interesting as well- often times requiring personal examples.

I was not very interested in this course prior to taking it but Dr. Lynxwiler really made the course interesting and engaging. Online classes can be difficult to connect with professors but I always felt he was available. The course was well organized and I knew exactly what was expected. I felt like the grade I got I deserved.

Definite GPA booster. Took so little effort it was almost frustrating. I received a perfect score on every paper and the lowest grade was an 11/12. No book necessary. The information wasn't easily relatable and I didn't learn (retain) any new information. If you like a challenge, and the feeling that your money has been well spent, seek elsewhere.

Dr. Lynxwiler is a laid back professor who apparently enjoys reading mediocre essays. His modules were very informative and easy to go through and we only had to complete 6 writing assignments. Definitely an interesting (and mandatory sociology) course. I have taken him before in an online class and he is just as helpful and laid back. Great guy!

All this course requires is 6 written assignments based on readings he gives you. The assignments are easy and each supposed to be "at least 1000 words." I did less than that for most and still received full credit. I think as long as you turn in something relevant that's not plagiarized you will get 100% in the class. Just don't miss an assignment

Took his Religion in Society Class Online. Grade Breakdown (Getting Started Assignment and a multiple choice/true false and essay quiz due every two weeks). Most everything on the quizzes came from the notes with the book being a good reference as well to fill in the small gaps. Was helpful when asked. Got an A, best of luck!

Took this class online over the summer - no text. Grade is derived from 6 papers on different segments of popular culture. Prof posted readings which made me want to learn more about some of the topics. I gather from his online comments that he is a man of few words, but that was fine for me. I really enjoyed this class.
