I found Dr Marvelle to be a good teacher. He helped make personal connections to the information he wanted to get across. He knows his stuff and has a passion to make sure his students know how to help all their future elementary students successful. He made class interesting and sometimes fun. Take him for ELED515

I had Marvelle in the EledBlock last semester.He is most def 1 of the most kind, inspirational, and caring profs I have ever had.SUCH a nice guy and really, truly cares about his students.His was the "easy" class in the Block, and he did talk a lot about his personal life,but as way to connect with the class; learned things you can apply to classrm

I had Marvelle when I was in the elementary block in 2007. Marvelle taught more than academics! As a teacher now, I always think of my students' self-esteem and self-confidence and how being fair means treating students differently not the same. His class greatly helped me when I became a classroom teacher in an Inclusion classroom last year!

Currently, Marvelle is my advisor and I must say, he is not doing a great job at it. Doesn't answer questions and frequently does not answer emails. I've only really found him helpful once, when he forwarded me a document). Often otimes, I will have to reach other other profs and staff for help. I have yet to meet him (he's not in his office much).

I found Dr. Marvelle very charming when I first met him but all too soon he turned into Dr. Jekell. The only thing Dr. Marvelle likes to do is talk about his accomplishments and what a amazing humanitarian he is. He plays favorties and can be extremely condescending. Not as nice as he seems.

He is very helpful even for things that werent for his class.The biggest complaint is that we didnt get a syllabus until a month into school and there were tons of projects on it. Projects were easy and relavant but time consuming. final counts for alot but he tells you exactly what is on it.

Dr. Marvelle is a little too nice. He definately has favorites and I'm glad I was one of them. He could use a brushing up course on how to teach. It's one thing to make personal connections, but not every day. I'd like to learn about teaching not just your family.

Marvelle was the most inspiring teacher in the block. He was trully there to help his students become caring and openminded teachers. He does tell his classes a lot about his own personal experiences but I believe that is the way he builds a connnection to his students. He leads by example!!

Probably the worst teacher I have ever had. I day dreamed through his class. Useless information, talks about his family and other nonsense. No clue how he was ever a dept head. Doesn't help you at all, very demeaning and rude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSOR! HE SHOULD NOT BE TEACHING!!!
