The class consists of two exams, homework, lab, and some extra credit. In all honesty, if you try and pass the exams and get a B in lab, then you should be able to do well in the class. Yeah the homework and exams are not always the same, but you are allowed cheat sheets for the exam, so doing well in this class is not impossible.

Worst class Ive taken & very disorganized. Although hes nice and doesnt count attendance, many ppl stopped showing up bc hes pretty boring. Kinda feel bad, but honestly most of the time seems like a waste even showing up . Hw/examples from class are kinda different from test, which left so many ppl lost during exam! Dont bother with the book..

This class was unorganized. Most lectures consisted of numerous slides- most of which he mentioned himself as "not important". Hard to tell what was going to be on the test, even open notes. Homework every chapter. Test review/homework was nothing like test. Your entire grade is based on 2 tests. This class was my 1st B in my entire life. BORING.

The subject wasn't very interesting but he tried to keep the students entertained. He was funny and played some interesting songs to start class off with. I would take him again if I could.

Did not buy the textbook and hardly went to class and got an A. He allows open note exams. Just print out his lectures and show up on test day and you're fine.

One midterm and One final, homework is 30% and it is nothing like what he does in class so find yourself a tutor. other than that he gives study guides and he's really cute and funny.

Very funny in an awkward way. Give homework but online. Easy grader. He gives points on questions that are answered wrong. Notes are posted online. Open notes on midterm and final. Should be able to passed without a sweat.

His examples don't usually match the homework/exams. Only one midterm and one final and he curves your grade in the end which is awesome

Attendance is not mandatory. Grade is based on 1 Midterm, 1 Final, and homework that is due every other week (on BlackBoard). Both exams are open book and open notes. The science is not hard, it is like middle school Earth Science. He uploads the notes to Blackboard and he does review sessions the lecture before the Exams. Easy A.

Really nice cool guy buuut his teaching method makes physics sound easy and when it comes to the homework you're pretty much lost (same with the exams). His extra credit is optional up to 5 points if you get 20/20 in each of the 5 Orion Crap from Wiley Plus which is useless....

The midterm and final were open book and open note. I didn't buy the book, so I did fairly well on both with notes from the reviews. I maybe went to two class sessions other than test days. Make sure to keep an eye on the homework - he says he doesn't accept late work (he graded mine though when I emailed and asked nicely).

The lectures are long and boring. I was looking forward to learn more about astronomy but his lectures dragged on and he would constantly repeat himself to make up for the time. Although there is a cheat sheet allowed its not very helpful because some of the test questions are worded in a confusing way. HW every week or so. He is helpful if you ask

I wish this class wasn't a requirement towards my major, it's literally the most pointless/painful class of life. It doesn't help that McGill is very boring. He gives examples in class that are doable but its a different story with his hw problems. Allows cheat sheets on midterm and final but if you are lost in class, the cheat sheets are pointless

This class can be a very easy capstone, but if you're not interested in the material you might not do well. There is only a midterm and final. Both are open book and notes. Easy A? Not necessarily. The textbook is not always very clear cut and his PowerPoints don't always spell it out clearly. It helps if you have some interest in the subject.

His lectures are straight from the powerpoints. He explains everything, but he repeats himself over and over again. The examples that are given during lecture sometimes help or don't help on the homework. He allows a cheat sheet for both midterm and finel, but if you don't know what you're doing it's pointless.

One midterm and one final all multiple choice. This is a 3 part serie (121,122 and 123). It is not a difficult class but extremely boring. Over half of the class including myself stopped going to class because he lectures straight from the PPT. Great person but class is just so boring. Textbook is a waste of money.
