Had him for an online Lit class. The assignments are pretty intense sometimes, but mostly opinion papers. Put some thought into it and you will do fine. Assignments are usually due weekly which sucks. But I'd recommend him if you need a multicultural credit.

Dr. Mckernan is a really nice man. The assignments seem rediculously hard and overwhelming, but if you at least try, you will get an A. You absolutely have to attend class. You have to write poetry, book reviews, an 8 page research paper and a few other random things.

He's a bit eccentric, but a very intelligent, nice man. The class is great, no tests, and simple assignments. Revisions are always allowed to increase your grade. The research paper wasn't bad at all, and he gave time in class to work on your papers. I would definitely recommend him, especially from what I've heard about other ENG profs.

I am just not very fond of this class- not very helpful. Gave "not answers" to my questions and everyone else's. SO picks favorites...assignments aren't too tough, but if you mess up don't expect to get much help. "There's a form..." and "Focus" were all I could ever get out of him, of course it may just be me...

McKernan is a really nice man. The assignments aren't really hard, but there is a lot of reading, writing, and research involved. It can kind of eat up a lot of time making it hard to do other homework as well. He always let you revise your work, and there are no tests.

This class was absolutely hilarious. Each week's assignment consisted of reading a poetry selection (guaranteed to be hideously boring) and write a one page+ report on how it made us "feel" what we though, et cetera. No analyzation WHATSOEVER. Boring as hell, but it was an easy grade.
