I was scared at first because I had heard he was a tough grader yet that couldn't have been further from the truth. He can be a bit "get off my lawn" at times but he's great professor. Read and attend the lectures and you'll be fine!

Mr. Menger was an amazing professor. Before I took his class I had people telling me how awful he was. I took his class over the summer, and got an A. He's so clear about what he wants. His lectures are so fascinating, because of how he tells a story, makes you want to actually write. He's crazy over some WWII. I absolutely loved his class.

He's actually really good. He can seem a little tough during class, but I have seen him at Church and outside of class and he is a really nice guy. He's tough but fair. Though he is not always on time, but remember, he has some issues with hypertension. He also got me into Flannery O'Connor

Great teacher, my writing improved a lot because of this class. Attendance is mandatory. He will drop you after 3 absences no matter what, even if it is the last day of class. Do not buy the text book. Be ready to learn a lot about WWII. I could probably go take a CLEP exam for a WWII class now. Start your research paper early. It is important!

Mixed review - Mr Menger is very clear about what he expects from you in class, and is understanding of night class students being busy with jobs, etc. Asked to buy text book and only used 3 pages, where we also received hand outs on the same info. The assigned novel is a child level book. Talks enough about WW2 that he should work in HIST dept.

i loved his class. he is a very interesting person. i had him in the mornings,he was always late and always lets us leave early. attendance is mandatory. he is very into his subject and ww2. he lets you use all you notes on your tests. you only have to read one book and he gives you all semester to read it AND its a good book. great teacher:)

I really enjoyed this class! He has an excellent way of teaching and explaining things and I actually enjoyed reading the book that was assigned. He was always very help and encouraging to the students. One of my favorite professors at ATC.

Expect papers & essays, take good notes and you should do fine on the tests, i used many of my notes in short essays that were take home. Study your notes is the best advice for this class, expect some pop quizzes from reading, im not sure if he actually counts these quizzes as grades, i think more so just to make you read to scare you
