A very wise man, who loves the philosophic life. Easy to pay attention to in class, and has a (reasonable) opinion about almost every subject, so wonderful to talk to outside of class. Very helpful for getting ideas straight in one's mind.

Everyone seems to think he is a god, I think he's creepy. He plays favorites to students who adore him. Overall, didn't teach the subject, just theorized and sang sometimes. I learned way more in latin with another tutor who was known for being so-so.

If you go to TAC, you know the hype. My bottom line? Don't try to impress him, listen to him - he doesn't want to hear what you have to say, but he knows so much stuff, it's easy to see why he doesn't bother. Don't fall under his spell if you love him; look past the way he treats people if you don't, and learn - he is wicked smart.
