Great teacher. He expects students to have some sort of calculus background before taking this class. Really funny. You use the textbook a lot, but it's a free online one. Very practical. Wears the same thing every single day.

I felt like Dr. Ong knew me as a person rather than a number. There were many times when I wanted to give up on his class but he talked me down from leaving every time, and I really grew to enjoy my time in his class, and I ended up with decent grades in his classes.

Dr. Ong is very passionate about what he does&has your best interest at heart. If you believe you are qualified for the material, take the course; he will respect for it especially if you struggle through it & even if you fail. Make sure to ask your questions during office hours, questions during class should only be about the lecture.

I did not end up staying in the course, but for the short amount of time I was in it I did not like Ong. I told him that I was confused and didn't think I was ready for the course since I hadn't taken a math class in a few years and he tried to get me to stay anyway because he wanted his numbers up.

One of my favorite professors. As has been said, he tends to get frustrated with his lower lever classes, but if you make it to/past calculus you should be fine! He is very easy to follow and does a good job of binging things to a level that students can understand. Don't take his class if you aren't going to put in the effort though!

One of my favorite classes so far! Moves fast, but not hard to keep up. The quizzes are very easy. Use all resources available to get a 10/10 on the homeworks, and you should get a good grade! Homework counts for a large portion of your grade, so don't miss any assignments!

Dr. Ong is the bomb. He knows his stuff, and he tells it like it is. Watch out, though. He doesn't mind calling you out in front of the whole class. Also, he goes fast enough that it's almost impossible to fall asleep in his class, which is a huge bonus in a math class. He is much better at teaching higher level math than lower level math.

I have him for 212 as well. He's a GREAT teacher! BEST teacher I've ever had in any subject! As long as you try hard and go to him or the tutoring center for help, you'll do fine. He's pretty straight-forward on tests, quizes, and during class. Very clear. Very kind! I recommend him highly! Best teacher for higher level math classes (Calc & above)

Dr. Ong was horrible at his job.I am so glad I do not have him for PreCalc this semester.He always went off on these tangents about MRT's and such....we are not in medicine STOP IT!!
