I really liked him, mostly because he really knew his stuff. However, that's his main problem. He talks and talks resulting in the class not learning as much as you should have. If you don't pay attention and do the reading, you're screwed. No way you could get assignments done without. Very available through email outside of class,

I was a criminal justice student and history was never something i needed to take in order to graduate, however I loved Dr. JPs classes so much i took all and i do mean ALL of them. I ended up with a double major as a result. Follow his rubrics to the letter he tells you exactly what he wants students to give him in papers and on tests.

Great teacher, and incredibly smart. Teaches the importance of listening, and making sure you understand the ideas, not just memorize the material.

Professor Paul was by far the worst professor I have ever had. He talks down to his students and is very rude to them. Besides being rude, he gives you random grades and cannot back up his reasoning. He said in class that he will never give a student a 100. Terrible terrible terrible professor.

Way to smart to be teaching at FSU. Difficult to understand. Lectures are dry and his way of taking notes is hard to replicate. Will keep you in class the whole hour and fifteen minutes.

first day of class went really well and I had a positive attitude. but due to the his lectures & how he is prone to go off on a tangent, I found the class extremely difficult. He also is unreliable for in-class notes, as they have no structure and are impossible to study with. I do not recommend taking his class unless you love the material.

After receiving grades back and getting newer BS assignments it feels like this professor wants you to fail, especially if you have no interest in taking this class. Do not take him unless you 100% enjoy the subject.

He spends a lot of time talking, and is occasionally hard to understand because of his Indian accent, but overall his class is interesting and he's relatively engaging.

One of the worst professors I've had. He doesn't stay on topic and his notes are hard to follow considering the fact that he does not use any notes to structure the class. He goes off of memory and will take up half of a class talking about something you don't need to learn and leaving little time to the things he wants you to know. DO NOT TAKE HIM

The guidelines that he uses to grade are a mystery and he is not afraid to leave rude comments. He clearly understands the topic he teaches but when it comes to helping others learn he falls short. Do not take a class with this professor, you will be beyond frustrated.

He has a very strong accent that can be difficult to understand. Grades papers very harshly. We only got through like 14 of the class material because everyone was failing the exams and we had to retake everything (only like 7 people got above 60% on the first exam, no lie), and he does not scale. Study from the book, he won't go over everything.

I am currently in the Gods and Medicine class. I would recommend this class only if you are interested in the topic. Not an easy A. The readings are long and time consuming but you will learn a lot from the class. He will like you if you answer questions. He is a nice man if you show interest in what he is teaching.

Most useless class I've ever taken. The first day he seemed really interesting and it got my hopes up, but turned into the biggest letdown I've experienced. His grading makes no sense, and changes throughout the semester. His lectures are usually his life stories, not course material. He was also extremely offensive on more than one occasion.

One of the most awful classes I've taken yet. At the beginning of the year I was somewhat interested but every single day is the same thing. He lectures from start to finish and goes off on a million tangents. He grades things horribly and has no reasoning behind it. He doesn't respect his students and goes off on the class. Arrogant and Rude.

He is very interested in what he teaches but his notes are all over the place. The whole class consists of you sitting there and him talking nonstop until the very last second of class. He has a strong accent and he doesnt talk very loud. The class is extremely boring. He does give chances at extra credit. You also have to read and do essays.

Had him for World Civ. 2. First few weeks he grabbed my attention with his unique teaching style. After that he frustrated me. His notes were all over the place. Though he grades on a steep curve and gives plenty of chances for extra credit. Would highly recommend him.

You will find yourself working a little harder in this class then your average class but you will learn a lot. He is fair to every student and if you take the time to talk to him after class or go to his office hours he will be more then willing to help you understand the material. On a side note also a fun person to discuss ideologies with.

He was nice at first but then started treating our class very bad. He yells a lot. His tests are iffy, and his grades ...let's just say no one to this say can figure out how he grades things. Some of the things he teaches are wrong. He isn't helpful if you are struggling.
