Comment:
I took 2 classes with Plecnik in 1988-89. He is tough but very knowledgeable. I still use the logic principles I learned in his classes. His classes can be hard, and he may ramble, but if you pay attention, there is a lot to learn from his ramblings. It may not be on the test, but it is worth knowing, Not every thing worth knowing is on a test.

Dr. Plecknik is an extremely intelligent professor who clearly knows his subject in and out. He is very quirky and is prone to ranting about random things in class, but when he's on-topic he explains a very confusing subject quite well. What I like best about him is the fact that he gives you all the basic notes you need at the beginning.

I had J. Plecnik when I attended BAC ions ago. He was not easy - true. He use to be a monk b4 leaving priesthood and get. married. His kids are REALLY smart. I liked him as a person and so so as a prof. Do we need logic? I would not have taken if not required, but he's better than Cook!!!

Very knowledgeable, but not the best at getting that knowledge across to students. If you show up and half-way read the book, you'll pass.

Excellent professor. He is the best philosophy prof at BAC. I would say he is better at teaching logic than at teaching ethics.

Hardest class by far that I've taken at BAC yet. He rambles and gets off subject very easily. I didn't start understanding anything until the last half of the semester!

I took logic in my fall semester...overall if you pay attention and go to class you will do fine...the only bad thing is he tends to comment on grades and papers when he hand them back and can make you feel dumb in front of the class...but as far as the work it was ok i guess i mean for a required course i did fine

I had him for Logic and to say the least---This man is CRAZY!! This was the hardest class I have ever taken in my life! All semester/year he basically tells you in a round-about way that your stupid and will never get it, if you dont get it in the beginning. Along with that he talks about nothing at all that has to do with the class! SAVE YOURSELF!

I had Dr. Plecnik for Logic. He is a very good teacher and knows his stuff but you MUST pay attention in class or you will get lost quickly. The material is not hard but does require studying to reinforce. He is very willing to help anyone that asks for assistance - whether you pass or fail his class is on the student alone. Good dude.

He rambles about things that have nothing to do with class and your whole grade pretty much relies on your final. His quizzes come straight from handouts. If your smart you can teach yourself. Pay attention when he works problems, that is helpful.

He likes the Dealts because they are great guys. I found this man aggravating to say the least. I got so tired of being told I was worng in his class, I hired a frat brother to say " Mr. Hayman you are absolutely correct." after every thing I said, I think it drove him nuts, but then he found the humor in it, then I got a B.

Very, very difficult and frustrating class. He does not even follow his own syllabus. Extremely disorganized. He goes over some material in two different classes and then tests you on stuff that he did not talk about at all. Very rude and condescending to students. Does not like you to ask questions. He may be a genius, but he can't teach well.

Unbelievable; avoid like the plague. Rude and condescending to students in classes, impersonal on campus, personally experienced untruthfulness as well.
