He expects answers that are impossible. With all the other classes I have and information I need to store it was impossible to get all that he expected. With a job and 16 other credits it was near impossible to find enough time for this class.

He expects incoming students to know the material already. Very condescending and rude. Zero social skills. He does not promote question asking because he will make you feel stupid for asking anything.

People need to stop complaining about his classes. I had him for BI406 and I attended every class, listened to everything he said, and took notes. I had three other biology classes with it and had plenty of time to focus on those as well. I read the chapters and made sure I understood everything on the study guides. I got an A, it was very simple.

Dr. Rebers is TOO smart. This class is difficult on it's own but he knows way too much and assumes you do as well. I studied so hard for all the tests and did horrible on all of them. Lab is lenghty and taught me nothing.

Interesting class... not for slackers. Prof does a VERY good job explaining the material, however, there is a large amount of complicated concepts. If you don't keep up by studying, all the great lectures in the world won't keep it between your ears.

Dr. Rebers is a good professor. He knows an incredible amount about the material and teaches in a clear and very concise way. All his power points are online and so are most of his lectures. His class isn't easy, but it forces you to study. His tests are definitely difficult, but not impossible. Plus the class is curved. It's tough, but good.

Dr. Rebers is completely impossible to understand. His tests are ridiculous and his grading is even worse. No matter how much you study and how well you know the material, he will rip your answers apart. Try to avoid any of his classes if possible unless you want to spend all of your time focusing on his class, otherwise be prepared to do horrible

Bad professor. He seems to think that his students lives should revolve around his class only. If you have to take him, try to have very few and easy other classes during the semester.

I enjoy the little in class group assignments and things he does to make lecture more interesting. He seems extremely knowledgable on his subject and is very helpful, especially in putting the audio of his lectures online. All these high end science courses are difficult, but I feel he gives us every opportunity to succeed in BI 406.

Also had him for Cell Biology. Dr. Rebers gets an undeserved bad rap. He never tests on something he hasn't said in class, and he has passion for what he teaches. Take good notes and his class won't be a nightmare. He's not entertaining, but that's not his job. He lectures clearly, concisely and stays on topic. I'd take him for anything.

Dr. Rebers gets a bad rap when he shouldn't. If you are taking this class, you are probably a Biology or related major, this should be interesting material to you. I studied the hardest I ever have, got an 80 on the first test, 93 on the second, and an 88 on the last. Try hard, push yourself, and ask if you don't understand,I got an A-.You can do it

I spend more class time wondering how he got in the position to be able to corrupt so many fresh minds than I spend actually listening to his material. His teaching style is both distracting and ineffective. I learn more from the summary of the chapters than this poor excuse for an instructor could ever teach me.

You know those people that are book smart but have no social skills? Well, that's Dr. Rebers. He is obviously very smart and likes his molecular concentration, but he can't teach for the life of him. Dr. Rovin should teach this course and you'd end up with people who both learned something and who wanted to learn more. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

The um, ah class was not horrible, but um, ah lab procedure suffered because of the um, ah way he spent so much um, ah time on the other um, ah information. He is however a um, ah knowledgeable teacher and obviously likes his um, ah work. He does get too caught on the um, ah details and needs to speed things up.

Possibly the worst professor to teach a course at NMU. He absolutely blazes through huge amounts of material jumping from one topic to another with no logical order. His speaking style is so annoying my ears wan't to bleed. All I hear is "Thee uh, Thee uh, Thee uh, Thee uh, Thee uh, Thee uh, Thee uh.....Thee uh, Thee uh, Thee uh". Avoid him!

Excellent class. Difficult material. He is the reason I am now in Molecular Biology. Lab was great, very fun. He was fair but most students would not ask for help in understanding the material when they needed it.

Dr. Rebers is great! He is the most organized professor I have ever had. Very passionate about biology and has an interesting sense of humor. Everything you need to know for exams are on his powerpoint presentations.
