A well-respected professor who obviously cares about his students. Will never hesitate to explain or clarify, though will only do so if asked to. If you don't pay attention in class, you won't do well. Assignments are graded harshly, but fairly. Often injects humour into situations to make learning more enjoyable.

I loved this class, and it's such a hard topic to teach but he does with great clarity and organization. He's very passionate about it and he's always willing to help. One of the best profs I ever had at UBC.

I love this guy. He is very nice, he knows his materials, and his lectures are extremely interesting. I feel lucky to have him as a prof for my MUSC301. However, his assignments and tests are super hard. So go visit him in his office hours, he'll tell you lots of good tips~ Best prof~ strongly recommend!

One of the toughest courses I ever took, but Roeder is a great prof. Unlike Prof. Benjamin, he really made 20th century theory interesting. Assignments and exams are TOUGH!!!
