Dont be scared of him on the first day you meet him. Its all a front. Jon Sanchez is a legend and his class is straight forward. Go to class, take the notes, study the notes and get an A. This man has so many great stories to tell and is the perfect teacher to learn about ethics. His lectures on American Indians are the super eye opening. No stress

Great teacher, and he really does care about his students. Must go to class, Must take decent notes, but info is basic and easy to learn. He drills important info into your head and you watch a lot of videos as case studies. Doesn't post powerpoints but he gives you plenty of time to take it all down.

YOU NEED TO GO TO THE CLASS! He takes attendance every day. At first, I was frightened because he seemed tough. But as the time goes by, I found out that he cares about students and actually wants to teach and makes sure that you're learning something. His exams are not that tough if you pay attention to the class and read all the powerpoints.

I'm finishing news media ethics this semester with prof. sanchez and I have to admit at first he seemed very degrading towards his students and also seemed to be pretty judgmental, but overall I wouldn't say he is that bad of a professor. He acts tough on the outside but is pretty chill on the inside (except when it comes to attendance).

He is a really great professor. Makes you think for yourself. He is there whenever you need help and if you study for his exams, they are not difficult. You have to attend class since the grade is only from attendance and exams but other than that, it is a really interesting class. Gave me a new perspective about a lot of things.

Don't come into this class thinking it's an easy A. If you're a comm major, you more than likely have to take this class- and it's totally worth it. Prof Sanchez is sure to cover all material he tests on, and is more than happy to help if you have questions. But don't expect to be hand-fed the entire semester. He makes you think for yourself.

Every person I talk to in class is lost and confused, especially pertaining to his tests. He doesn't answer questions about the exam the day before (when most people study) and nothing he talks about in class relates to the exam. The textbook is vague and unclear and his tests are fill in the blank without word banks. Do not take this.

Best teacher I have had so far. Great class discussions and environment. It is evident that he is very passionate about his field and more importantly, he recognizes his responsibility as a teacher to convey meaningful lessons and skills. Nicest teacher. Very willing to help and keep in touch with after graduation.

The most amazing professor at PSU. Such an easy class if you showed efforts. Mandatory attendance, but he gave out extra credits every friday for attendance. Anybody who complains is who barely showed up for class. Do some work and you'll guaranteed an A.He's extremely helpful and personal, if you have any problems he'll help you out

Awesome class and awesome professor! One of my favorite classes ever. He is passionate about what he teaches and cares about the students. Exams are a little hard, make sure you know the material. You will need the book for exams. Papers are easy, you're almost guaranteed a 10/10. Attendance is mandatory, and don't be late.

He is kind of knavish to me. He says he would never lie but I caught lies all the time. He's an ok professor but I don't really trust him. I saw pass all of that bs.

Sanchez kept saying how hard his class is, but I don't think it's difficult. Put a little thought into the reaction papers and you'll be fine. You have to go to class--he takes role at the beginning. DON'T BE A MINUTE LATE or you're absent/he won't accept your paper. He really cares about what he's doing. You need the book for exams.

Probably the best professor I ever had.. He challenges everyone to think outside the box and emphasize about having integrity and responsbility as a journalist. Great stories and great case studies. A lot of reading, exams could challenge but very good professor, wish I could have him for all my classes!

An entirely decent man. He's loves his students and he loves the material. Will do anything to help in any situation. He's very fair and his class is just exciting to go to. But do keep in mind--NEVER MISS CLASS! Do that and you've literally got 90% of the battle won because you learn a lot from his lectures and case studies.

Wise man, lots of experience. It's an easy class, but you still learn which is the ultimate goal. Do what he says, show up to class, write the reaction papers and make a study guide for the exam and you will be good to go. He's an ethics teacher so he is very honest and trust me, he DOES care about the student.
