Besides being brilliant, witty, and extraordinarily knowledgable, Dr. Sider is very kind. He makes himself available to his students both in and out of the classroom-he has joined us for book groups and will always answer questions or give advice with patience and genuine warmth. The kind of human that makes you better for having known him.

I have had Sider multiple times and am continually impressed by his vast knowledge of literature. He has a really good heart and really cares for his students and is enthusiastic about teaching.

Dr. Sider is like the grandpa I never had. He looks like a cuddly bear. He's so amazingly smart and knows everything there is to know about Shakespeare. However, he never gave me an A and graded really tough. We read 8 Shakespeare plays in a semester. Whew!
