Here's the rundown on John Skowronski. He's highly intelligent, hilarious, and FAIR. You get what you put in. He believes everyone has the capacity to learn social psychology and his lectures are all based on real-life application. Don't believe the negative reviews. He's more than understanding with his course credit. You'll regret not taking him!

This Professor was very tough on students, and used graphic language in the classroom. He seemed to be a nice professor but he is really tough when it comes to grading exams. Other than that he is accessible by appointment only, but he is willing to work with students who need help.

He is an excellent professor. There is four mini papers that are pass fail but graded hard for the extra credit point for exceptional writing. I got 239 of like 250ish points. There is no home work. Four exams that are extremely taxing but doable if you read the unit's chapters 3 or 4 times and i mean it. Great professor you'll get a lot out ofclas

I highly recommend not taking his course, if you can find another professor. He is completely obsessed with himself and how "great" of a teacher he is, and he makes sure to tell you numerous times throughout his class. He comes off as a cool guy, but he just gets worst as the semester goes on. DO NOT TAKE!

I wish I would have listened to all of the negative comments before I got so far into the semester. DO NOT TAKE!DO NOT TAKE! Find a different professor! I am an A student, and I had to withdraw from this class(first withdraw ever) because I was so frustrated. He is obsessed with himself. He'll Tell you that you "need to study at least 3 hrs/day".

Fair. He doesn't beat around the bush. Gives awesome examples of real world data supporting the book. Likes to give extra credit. Excited about YOU learning something and having a take away from his class. Expect to work hard but also expect to really enjoy a spit fired professor who actually gives a sheet whether you learn something or not! GREAT!

Dr. Skowronski is honest with you at the beginning of the semester. If you are not going to put the work in, you will not pass. Go to class, take notes, read the assigned chapters, and you will do fine. He will help you understand the material. Ask questions!! He also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. Take advantage of it!

At the beginning he tells you about how hard it is and tries to be tough and scary. Just relax, it's really not that hard. I went to less than half the lectures and still did just fine. His lectures are sometimes boring and he repeats himself a lot. As long as you look through the book and have common sense you're fine.

I was a little intimidated at first but he is one of the best professors. He takes the time to answer questions and truly cares about his students. If you read the chapters ahead of time and show up to all of his classes, you will be just fine. Plus he gives many extra credit opportunities. It is possible to get an A in the class.

Dr. John is funny, and always keeps lectures interesting. He is a tough grader but gets you ready for what the real world of psychology is like. Honestly I hated him in the beginning, but if you read, show up to class, take notes and study his class is a lot easier. He assigns 4 tests and weekly sample grad school application papers. Great teacher!

He is very intelligent and funny. He tells you upfront what to expect and tells you to evaluate yourself and surroundings and if it doesn't fit you then you shouldn't be there. He gives extra credit opportunities. His mini papers are simple. He gives good feedback, but he advises to use the writing center every time. This class was very interesting

Thinks he is funny (is not funny), and swears a ton. Test questions all begin with "In class you well organized and highly esteemed professor talked about…." Makes test questions so convoluted and hard to understand you have to re read each one 10 times. Must be in class as he gives examples that are not in the book and will be on the test.

John is a beast. He's a funny guy and he does a good job of keeping you informed of the material. There's basically just 4 tests and weekly 'mini-papers.' He reviews points from the assigned chapters in the form of jeopardy at the beginning of every class. If you answer correctly, it's extra credit. It's not a blow-off class, but it's not stressing

He's tough but he's awesome. His classes will challenge you and this will make you a better person as a result. Suck it up and take his class but make sure the rest of your semester isn't too taxing or else you may suffer from frequent panic attacks.

Good overall. He lets you know from the first class what he expects. Go to class and read the book and you'll do fine. If you're not willing to, this class isn't for you. He gave a decent amount of extra credit. He's really interesting to listen to and he gives really good examples to explain the material.

Awful teacher. Tests are next to impossible and are based entirely on the textbook reading. He swears every minute of class and gets angry when we don't know an answer to a question.

Don't do it. Drop now and take a different teacher. Class average was a 54% with no curve. Tests are way too in depth for an introduction level class unless you memorize the book and be sure to know what chapters he was referenced in for extra credit; he's buddies with the authors.
