This is a great class to take for all majors. He pushes you out of your comfort zone but is there along the way. The speeches we give are interesting and different. He will work with you outside class and tries to make class interesting and engaging. No tests, just speeches and assignmentsIf you make an effort and improve, you can easily get an A.

Stanley makes it easy to be comfortable giving your speech. There is a decent amount of busy work so don't miss class or you will miss an assignment. Also you will need to read in order to get a good grade on quizzes!! You will leave this class with improved speaking skills. He makes class fun and easy going but you will also learn a lot.

Professor Stanley is a wonderful professor! He is really funny and his lectures are usually good, and he expects everyone to participate equally for assignments. I was kind of sketched out prior to his class because I heard he was a hard grader, however, I have never gotten anything lower than a B in his class. Truly is an easy and great choice!

Professor Stanley is one of my favorite professors of all time. He is hilarious and really great at teaching speech. He always gave great feedback on speeches. Reading is mandatory because he gives weekly reading quizzes.

Professor Stanley is the one of the most animated people you'll ever be around whether it be 8am or a night class. Super passionate about speeches, but he is by far the hardest grader I've ever known (lone problem). Things that I thought I did really well on, I got a low B or something. Other kids who I thought did well sometimes got a C or a D.

Professor Stanely is awesome! If you have the chance to take his class- do it! He is always happy, even in his 8 AMs and makes everybody feel welcome and comfortable. Makes great jokes and makes the speeches less pressured than other professors would.

Before taking this class, I was nervous just thinking about it. The thought of public speaking terrifies me, but the moment he walked in the room and started talking, I felt instantly better. He's wonderful and makes it really comfortable.

Probably one of the funniest people you'll ever know. He's pretty demanding, but super nice. I know some people don't like him, but that's probably because he expects a lot from you and when you don't live up to what he thinks you're capable of, he will let you know. Great teacher & speech coach.
