I like him well enough; his lectures were clear and organized, and if you attend class regularly, he makes it pretty clear what will be on exams. Reuses tricks from the midterm on the final. Classes weren't that exciting, but this wasn't really my subject either. A bit difficult to reach if you have questions- only one office hour per week.

Comment:

He is one of the clearest math profs I've had at McGill, and based solely on his ability to teach and explain the material, he is great. The midterm was relatively easy but the final was extremely tough. It seemed to have been curved accordingly though.

Comment:

Gives a lot of examples in class. Is not an extremely enthusiastic lecturer, but notes are clear and he comments his work clearly. I would recommend him for this class. However he's hard on the grading and it is mandatory that you justify all your steps in exams.

Comment:

Compared to most Math professors I have had, he is by far the best. He talks to the class, proofs are clear, language too, I don't fall asleep, and he seems mostly up beat. He arrives and starts exactly when the class should and leaves as soon as time is up, which may be annoying, but he is always willing to answer questions.

I'm torn. Good: he's using more intuitive proofs than in 242 and he provides heuristics before getting into the rigorous bits. Bad: He spends 2/3 of the course re-teaching a prereq course (why?) Legendary for not caring about anything like the nihilist in the Big Lebowski: "Don't use that epsilon stuff if you don't know how, just write the answer."
