He is a good man. Old school teaching but interesting to listen to! Only a midterm, paper/presentation and final. If you listen to him and study, you'll pass. I loved his class.

Trapani is definitely the funniest teacher I've had thus far but he is an extremely tough grader. There's only three grades in the course so you have to do well on everything to get a decent grade. Joke day is the best day.

Excellent professor. Very motivating, and easy to follow. Makes you work for your grade, particularly back in 1981, when I took his philosophy class. You will learn much from John Trapani. Thank you!

There are only three grades in the class: the midterm, the final and a paperpresentation. Reading really helps you do well. His notes consist of him lecturing and writing some things on the board, so if you skip class you will miss the notes for that day. However, he does repeat what he covered (which is very helpful).

Wasn't condescending or aloof. Personable, patient, humorous: are understatements for his numerous qualities. He has confidence in what he knows/teaches but is not self-righteous. Has great advice. Preparation for finals are daunting as they are essay oriented and completely comprehensive.

Dr. Trapani is an interesting teacher with an unique view of history/philosophy. He made me think long and hard in his class. The class wasn't cake--it required thought, responses in the format of papers due and exams, but I think I'm a better person.
