At first glance, I thought Mr. Turner might turn out to be quite the hardass. After about a month, I realized he's very good natured, not afraid to poke fun at himself or anyone in the class, and VERY leniant about attendance. As long as you keep up on the (very few) notes and don't skip days when quizes are given, you'll do fine in his class.

Not afraid to let you know that he's a liberal democrat. Naturally, he gives a very left-wing version of Western Civ.(ie. Xtians bad, Mozlums good, and religion opposes science.) He then tries to relate his misconceptions about the past to his misconceptions about the present. However, he's a smart, nice guy who's good w/ non-political topics.

He's very intelligent however you wouldn't think it sometimes, im a straight a and b student, i took his class and i was failing half way through, withdrew signed up for a different history class over the summer to avoid getting him and got him anyway.i saved myself the pain and aggrivation i said bye bye history with turner. he shouldnt be teacher

He's ok. You don't really get a break in his class. You need to keep up with the readings, and his quizzes ask questions that are, many times, specifically from the book. The paper due for his class seemed easy at first but turned out to be pretty tough. If you like history, take him. He's a very smart guy, and he can teach you a lot.
