John Vanderlippe is a very smart man. He knows what he is talking about, but expwects you to figure the answers out. In the bomb, dicussion is key. He likes to listen to himself, but he usually says something interesting...the class was a waste of time however, you learn the same things 1000 different ways, in the end it does not matter.

Funny guy, terrible teacher. His assignments are unclear and he does no clarify them until after he has given the entire class a bad grade. He does not give students adequate time to do assignments and wouldnt know the definition of "debate" if it bit him. Not an easy A, has clear bias's twoard students for no reason whatsoever.

Great Teacher. He's beyond funny, but it takes a while for it to show. Assignments arent too bad, he tries to make them more interesting as the semester continues. Not an easy A, but definately recommend him.

What a horrible professor. Paper assignments clearly show his biases, and he grades like we were writing for a textbook. The lectures were EXTREMELY arid and boring. I hated this class.

Really nice and he's been everywhere. His papers aren't easy but you learn a lot from doing them. No tests, just 3 papers. Has a great way of talking, can't describe it but it helped my ADD ass listen. Compassionate too; I had a situation during the sem and he genuinely cared and helped me out.

Great professor. Pretty easy grader,but you have to do the reading to get the grades. Test are pretty good. He knows everything. He gives interesting lectures, you'll learn a lot form him and enjoy the class.
