overall this class was easy..he did not test on anything in the book so do not even bother buying the book. he was fairly interesting NEVER be late, fall asleep, use your cell phone or doodle if he catches you he goes crazy. he will scream, slam your desk and embaress you use the review sheets and you will pass

This class was horrible!! He did not go over readings and he talked about his sons and all this other pointless stuff during class and although there was a review sheet it helped very little when u actually took the test...Hes never in his office so dont try to even get help.

seemed very arrogant at times. never wrote anything on the board and the topics on his test must have came out of the sky since i paid attention in every class and was dumbfounded by 1/2 the ?'s on his exam.

Dr. Van's class is bearable if you can tolerate his really dry sense of humor. He goes on little temper tantrums if the class does not respond to his questions. Tests are random and hard to study for, but he curves them a full letter grade plus. 2 tests, field experience paper, and a final.

This class is one of the most boring classes I've ever taken. The teacher is monotone and just talks and talks about his personal life. Although the tests aren't that hard, the class is so hard to sit through and I dread going everyday. I don't learn too much that seems relevant to education. I wouldn't recommend taking this teacher.

This guy is very quiet and random with lesson plans. Very hard to take notes in class. Just listen as much as possible and understand what he is saying you will do fine. His exams are directly from the book so read the chaps. Theyare all multiple choice. One field experience required with a paper on it. I have an A. Do the work. Not hard teacher.

i seriously fall asleep in every class bc he talks about nothing relevent, doesnt give notes, and expects you to know what he was trying to say. he is the worst teacher ive ever had, he "doesnt believe" in reviewing with students since we're in college and we should be able to do it on our own.

Easy class... go everyday and fill out the index card. Most of the lecture is different stories and such (either the tales of your classmates from the cards or his own expirience- its how he teaches). TESTS ARE FROM THE BOOK. If you do those you'll be fine. Its not that bad.

hated him. this was the worst class i've ever had. he treated our class like we were peons, it was a struggle everyday between "us vs. him". he made at least 3 people cry publically, humiliates students, etc.
