I think he is fair in his grading. You will learn a lot from him, no doubt about that & what you will learn from him will serve you well in other writing pursuits.

During the course of the year, I wasn't a big fan of him. He's kind of pompous, and will occasionally put down students who don't agree with him. He does, however, generally know what he's talking about and gets you thinking, as well as make you a better writer. Definitely a solid choice as a UCWR teacher, though he can be picky/annoying sometimes.

Vukmirovich is a self-important jerk, unwilling to relate to students,- which leaves you lost for answers concerning your papers. It doesn't take a psych major to figure out he makes people feel inferior to feed his own superior ego, loves to hear himself talk, but unfortunately I found him hilarious. Only person I could laugh at and still hate.

This guy is terrible. He will grade you harder based on your viewpoints, and tells stupid unfunny jokes. In my first class with him he said a joke and a girl didn't laugh and he said to her "You need to wake up and pay attention." Currently, he is going out of his way to get me for plagerism i didn't commit. Do not take him. Seriously. Don't.

Either you love him or hate him! Very hard for UCWR, you do learn a lot. He thinks he is funny he really is not. Not nice at all and is obsessed with environmental topics. He is willing to help outside classroom. He loves class weirdos and people who laugh at his jokes! You can be one of the few lucky ones and get an A.

kind of a tough grader- but keeps the class somewhat entertaining, especially for being the required freshman course. 5 papers total, each with rough drafts.

While a very good teacher, A's are difficult in his class. There are three big papers, a journal to keep, and a final, but a lot of fiction reading. He makes sure the cost of the books is low and the stories are short. He knows a lot about his subject and can be somewhat condescending towards students, but you will learn a lot.

Dr. Vukmirovich is an excellent teacher. He taught me the basics of how to write a well developed paper and it prepared me for ENGL 110. He is very traditional and very organized. Be sure to give him a good first impression. Participate in his class and speak up. Be sure to attend each class with enthusiasm!

Worst prof ever! His political innuendos were harsh, demeaning, and uncalled for. He enjoys humiliating students on a personal level. I still cannot figure out how this "teacher" represents Loyola when all he should be doing is bagging groceries

You must be an interesting person to get the benefits of his class, however this is not hard if you speak up and allow him and the class to get to know you as an individual. Talking for yourself is encouraged and if this fails you JUST LAUGH at his jokes!

Class really makes you think about literature, and it covers a great deal. If you have alot of classes be advised that the reading and writing load is kind of large, but it is doable, just dont procrastinate.

Dr. V or "John" as he may like to be called, is decent teacher, but not a fair grader. Grading is somewhat arbitrary and he is hard to please. At times he can be somewhat funny, but his jokes are repetitive and sometimes insulting.

This professor is very hard to please if he does not like you as a person. He also loves to insult students and bad mouth them to other students that he does like. Also, you might be graded fairly as long as you are not a minority.
