Comment:
Professor Millman is an Intelligent professor, but his classes are hard. If you didn't take the required classes and passed them with good marks or tested into the class prepare to have a bad time. The book doesn't cover the lectures, and make sure you ask questions and come during office hours to review. Looking at the notes won't help you learn.

Millman is a G. I had him for Micro theory and Marxist Analysis. He spends a lot of time outside of class helping students understand topics. His classes are NOT easy, but as long as you try- an A is definitely possible. He's not the best at math btw. One of my fav econ professors though

Probably the most unnecessarily difficult class I've taken. Not because the material is difficult to comprehend, there are no outside resources that will properly prepare you for his tests. Textbook is useless since this is basically a calculus class. The material is simple, but explained in a convoluted way. Still a good teacher though.

If you don't attend class, you will not pass. If you show up and actively ask questions, however, you get adjusted to the motions with time. Also, pay attention during lectures

There was no homework. A quiz every friday, he grades them harshly. He drops the lowest quiz. The midterm and final was about 10 questions each. You'll get a lot of 60s, he says there is no curve, but he probably noticed that everyone was doing bad in his class, so his grading scale is different. 60s are like a C-

I took this course as part of my requirement for economics. Mr. Millman, while he does his best to explain what he is doing on the board, he will not be clear all the time. He may grade incorrectly on his quizzes when he gives them back, even if the answer you put is correct. Very tough grader, you need to be exact in your answers on quizzes.

Professor Millman saved my interest in economics. I had unsuccessfully attempted 102 with a different professor, and had since lost hope and self-confidence in my ability to understand economics in general - macro or micro. He is VERY good at walking students through concepts, explaining himself, and asks useful questions to engage students.

Quizzes and Midterm are not difficult in theory, but require you to give the exact answer that he wants, otherwise you're wrong. They're notes-based, but be exact with definitions and explanations. You should constantly ask to repeat conceptual and math questions. Take this class, you'll probably drop it, fail it, or pass w/ a bad grade.

Prof. Millman made Econ102 a fantastic experience. He is funny and does what he can to make sure you're prepared. There is a quiz every Friday: Don't expect a 100% on them because he grades them tough. Luckily, they don't count for too much and he makes the exam from the quizzes. Take him! He cares about his students.

very good professor. very helpful. You can ask as many questions as you want. Not strict at all. very clear about what he's teaching. You only need to pay attention in class and thats whats on the quiz/ exam. Grading is also very lenient.

3 problem sets, 3 exams and a final. Millman takes a math-heavy approach to teaching the course whereas other faculty focus more on concept. I highly recommend MATH 134 before taking this course with Millman. You will not pass the course without reading the textbook. Tough course, tough grader, but you will learn more with him than with anyone else

TERRIBLE! will not give you any useful feedback on papers (which is about 90% of your grade). I suggest you drop if you are taking a seminar class with him because he is lazy and will not take any time to help you revise or correct your paper. Very opinionated and will mark you down if he does not agree with your point of view. Didn't use textbook

Easy class, there's like three homework assignments and a research paper. He lectures the whole time, but he teaches you a lot of things. He's very funny when he's talking to students. Very sarcastic at times

He's extremely detailed and clear. I'm getting tired with the slow pace due to questions that are being asked over the simplest things. He provides a free textbook online. There is no reason how a price ceiling is so difficult to understand. Great class overall.

He clearly thought the class was a joke. Taken as a freshman seminar, the only assignment given was the final research paper. He was definitely very helpful when it came to that, and let us turn in multiple drafts. The classes itself are boring, generally just him talking for 45 or 90 minutes.
