Comment:

Dr. Schrage is a great teacher. He makes sure his students know what will be on each test. I took the class online and this can sway my opinion, but he is probably one of the easiest teachers I've taken. Just put in some effort and you're golden.

Lecture style is frantic, and he is so concerned with getting EVERY detail right that really hinders learning. With that said, he is approachable, energetic, and enthusiastic and will help anyone anytime with nearly anything. Also, the class was pretty darn easy.

Dr. Schrage is one of the best teachers i have ever had. 5 tests make up a majority of your grade, but its all multiple choice, and you can take it twice and keep the higher grade. He is so much fun to listen to in class, and makes the material interesting. its pretty easy to do well and you will learn a lot. TAKE HIM!!!!

He is very helpful as a teacher. He explains stuff throughly in class and composes an "inventory" of materials to study before test. The homework is almost minimal and you will do fine on the test if you study. REALLY recommend it!

Schrage is the bomb. Super helpful, super energetic, super knowledgeable. If you just show up and take notes, you're absolutely golden. Really accessible to his students and offers extra credit quizzes frequently. You're a fool if you don't take him.

I recommend Pr. Schrage. He's very energetic in his lectures. You really don't even have to attend the class because he puts all of the powerpoints and the recordings from the lectures online. If you need help with the homework, make sure you ask him a few days in advance because it will literally take him that long to reply.

Dr. Schrage is a great teacher. If you are just looking for an easy science core class take astronomy not ATS. But this class still definitely is an easy A under Creighton standards because Schrage gives you everything you need to succeed. P.S. dont count on the re-take if you dont have to because it is harder.

Dr. Schrage is a really nice guy and you can tell that he cares about his students and the material. Also, he's really enthusiastic and sometimes quite funny so it makes the time pass more quickly. The class was really easy. 5 exams and some homework and some extra credit quizzes. Studied for maybe 2 hours the night before and got an A on them all.

Dr. Schrage is terrific. He's really funny and nice and he's got tons of office hours if you don't understand things. You can always retake the tests and he keeps the better grade. I'm an English major, so science really isn't my thing, but he made it fun and interesting. Stay awake in the lectures though! He says a lot in a short amount of time.

TAKE HIM FOR ATS 113. The easiest class of my semester. Go to class, listen and take notes, and then study with the review sheet before a test. There are 5 non-cumulative MC tests and homework assignments that really only help your grade.

If you're like me--someone who hates science and is terrible at it--I would NOT recommend him. He's enthusiastic, yes, but the notes are VERY unstructured and the test questions are very tricky. Very tough time in this class.

Dr. Schrage is so enthusiastic about the material, he makes the long lectures pass quickly. All the material he teaches with is available online, making it hard not to do well in the course. Coming in with not much interest in atmospheric sciences, I throughly enjoyed this course and recommend it.

This guy is a jerk. He always goes off on random tangents that somehow result in a political rant against Fox News. He thinks he is the next great stand up comedian when he couldn't entertain a 4 year old with his humor. His lectures will bore you to sleep and his tests are not easy at all. He is a terrible professor. Avoid if possible.

Had him last semester. Very fun professor! Tests were hard, but he offers re-dos. Homework every week and extra credit quizzes help your grade. He made class fun! I got a C, but I would take him again.

Covers a lot of material but there are retakes for every test. There are a ton of extra resources if you don't understand something. You'd have to try to fail this class. If you read, you'll ace the tests. If you just attend lecture and take notes, you should get at least a B. Really nice, kinda goofy guy, makes a rather dry topic interesting.

Material is pretty hard for an intro class. Take ATS with Ritz for mandatory science credit. Thinks he's funny, but he's not. Really boring classes. Make sure you understand concepts and can apply them. Only memorizing definitions won't help you. Fair amount of homework outside of class, and he gives five tests. Make sure you do the reading.
