Comment:
Bordo is amazing. Really take the time to look at the syllabus and see if the course is for you. His courses are not survey courses but rather in depth academic seminars. If his subject matter appeals to you in more than a superficial way, take his course, if you are in university to warm the seats...he'll still make you learn, only if you want

Three years after having taken his summer course, I am still convinced he's one of the best profs around. He is so extremely intelligent and a real pleasure to watch and listen to. Not boring at all. If you connect with him, you'll see how amazing he is.

Comment:
Bordo is very unclear. If you take his class, just go, get the syllabus, read the texts, and hand in assignments on time. Check in once in a while for field trip information, and then hand in your assignments. No need to listen to his lectures because you will be worse off than when you started!

What's with the Bordo beef? Yes, he can be scattered, but he is a very smart dude. If you try talking to him, you'll realize that he is interested in his students and that he simply wants everyone to push themselves beyond their comfort zone. I learned a lot and really improved as a student.

Comment:
Bordo is the worst professor I have ever encountered. In his classes there is no clear outline, the readings change weekly, and I am never too sure what he wants us to write. Also, there are pointless and random field trips in which we waste the day running through an art gallery which is called streaking but Bordo doesnt know that.

he goes on and on and on. if you don't like to be talked at for hours on end about stuff that may not even be pertinent to your assignments or overall learning experience, steer clear of this prof. hilarious though.

I think Bordo is one of the worst profs I've has Trent. Make sure you're had two large double-doubles before you enter his lecture. 70% of the time he is impossible to understand. Complete lack of direction in the course syllabus and lectures.

Jonathan Bordo is a brilliant man. Confusing, sometimes, but only because he's so inside his own head. Funny and kind, I highly recommend him to intelligent students who wish to be challenged.

This man is boring, he makes some interesting points while he is staring at a wall during his lectures... he should take a public speaking course.
