Mr. Jonathan Wilson knows his history! He make his lectures interesting by asking questions that relate to his students lives. He encourages critical thinking and reflection on the lecture material. Tests are easy and based off class notes. No essays!!!

Mr. Wilson is AMAZING!!!! His lectures are fantastic and so interesting! All tests are based off the notes you take in class. I would highly recommend taking any of his classes. I have taken all three courses he teaches at Cuesta. Believe me you won't be disappointed.

Mr. Wilson is a great professor. He never canceled class. Tests were based off notes so you had to go to his lectures in order to get the notes. I hardly used the book to study. He truly cares about history and has great stories. You won't get bored!

Amazing teacher! I have never been a fan of history but Jonathan made me one. Hes extremely entertaining, hilarious, and absolutely brilliant. The best advice I can give you is STUDY YOUR NOTES. The 4 tests are based solely on the notes and theres no other assignments, only the 4 exams. I took him for U.S history and California history. TAKE HIM!

Wilson is the first teacher I've ever had that actually made history interesting. He's very entertaining and there's never a boring moment with him. Your grade is based solely on tests, mostly multiple choice and a handful of very short answer questions. If you're good at taking tests, it'll be an easy A, provided that you study the notes.

I came into this class expecting to hate it since history has always been my least favorite subject; however, I was pleasantly surprised with how fascinating and engaging this class was. Class ran till 8pm, and I never once felt sleepy or bored. Ignore any comments saying this teacher is "offensive", that's hilariously erroneous.

Easy A if you're a good test taker. He'll go over the history you already learned in high school. He makes his conservative views v e r y clear and can be highly offensive. He also has a penchant for raising his voice for shock value, which can be really upsetting if you're someone who already feels uncomfortable around obnoxious old white men.

Mr. Wilson is the most interactive professor I have had. Loves to tell stories about history and it is obvious that he loves what he is doing and knows what he is talking about. Your grade is based off of 4 tests so be prepared for that. If you miss class and/or don't get the notes your kinda screwed.

He's a nice guy, and i like the lectures, but if you're a bad test taker or have test anxiety, he might not be the guy for you. The whole semester was graded on 4 tests, but they weren't that tough if you studied. he could be extremely loud and excitable, which helped me stay awake in his 8 o'clock class. i definitely recommend him.

He knows his history, that's for sure. However, he is incredibly offensive on almost every level so if you can't hang, don't take his class. There are no quizzes, no homework, just tests and if you don't take notes or have a hard time memorizing them, you won't pass.

Wilson is extremely sarcastic, and his rants about how much he hates everything take up about 75% of the class. I disliked him because, although he obviously knows his history, he is very easily sidetracked & he often repeats meaningless information that nobody cares about. My three hour class could've been cut in half if he just shut up & taught.

This guy goes on so many rants that nothing ever gets accomplished and it is so easy to side track him and he doesn't explain what his tests cover very well. It is the only humanities class that I got a C in that I regret.

I have never liked history, but Mr. Wilson makes it so interesting! I look forward to his lectures and have learned SO MUCH over the semester. Only thing is that your grade is based entirely on a 4-5 tests (no homework points, projects, quizzes) so you have to study his notes for sure!

He makes class very fun and interesting to attend. If you are a great tester, and have no problem memorizing the material, then you will ace his class. If you don't test well, and have trouble retaining information, do NOT take this class. He doesn't give any homework, and vey little extra credit. I had to drop his class due to low test scores.

Best Teacher in the Flippn world. This guy has the darkest and most self-deprecating sense of humor I've ever seen and it's totally brilliant and hilarious. He knows literally everything there is to know about History and loves to give all sorts of insider Anecdotes and stories to make the class fun. Take notes and attend lecture..

I had this class at night and had no problem staying awake. One of my fav teachers I've ever had, cares about his students and really knows his stuff and makes it easy to understand. Really funny and interesting. I didn't open my book once outside of class, and studied my notes for about an hour before the test and usually pulled a B or A.

very different kind of teacher it was an absolute breath of fresh air having a teacher for once not trying to shove their liberal views down your throat. He was super cool, tests are hard, but if you are passionate about history like me you will get a real kick out of him I took him for 201B and 210 just because I like the subject matter and laughs
