Great guy, great knowledge of the subject matter, horrible teaching style. Very old-fashioned, rigid, and a harsh grader. Not at all encouraging either. Professors shouldn't baby their students, but they shouldn't expect them to know the subject BEFORE it's been taught either.

He should be teaching in Europe, where a 3.0 is "very good" and a 2.0 is "decent." He has extrememely high standards which you might not meet even if you're highly familiar with the subject matter and have good study habits. Frustrating to the max, unless you are one of his favorites.

Well, im premed like everyone else at this crazy school. So I figured latin would be helpful. After 6 weeks of studying for hours and recieving 0.0's I dropped the class. Way too tough of a grader for me, lectures are too dry. Would not recommend at all.

Seems awful at first- until you realize he's a complete sweetheart. His sense of humour is REALLY dry and boldfaced, and slightly silly, so he often hits people wrong at first go. Stick with it awhile, he's really smart, and a lot of fun.
