Have to agree with most of the other comments. He doesnt believe in communicating outside of class, lectures are incomprehensible ramblings and he does not specify what to study for exams. He once put a question on an exam from a chapter we hadnt even covered yet and didn't change the scoring even after the average was a 47.

Firstly, I just want everyone to know I have never left a rate on here before, but this man has compelled me to. Pros: He is extremely awkward and makes weird jokes Cons: He does not know how to teach. He rambles about things that don't have to do with chemistry. He does not give you office hours for help. He does not care if you understand.

I do not understand how he has such a low rating. He GIVES you the answers to the tests. The homework, which he gives you the answers to, is pretty much on the test. If he actually tested you on everything he taught in class this class would be much harder. He is also pretty cool and does int. research.

I don't know why everyone is hating on Giner he is definitely not the worst professor here and is pretty funny and really nice if you actually talk to him. He does get confused a lot during the lectures over little things but still definitely knows what he is doing.

You have to pick through his lectures for what's necessary, but he does teach the material. He tells you exactly what is on quizzes, homeworks can be difficult (but only 5 questions per chapter), and he tests for your overall knowledge on the main topics of each chapter. I would go to TAs or friends with any questions though...

Worst teacher I have ever had interaction with. Cannot teach the course material with clarity. Doesn't want to be bothered. Has no communication with his TA's. Doesn't care at all. Senseless rambling are his lectures. to fix his poor quality of being a teacher, he gives a giant curve. Not a great addition to the school. Needs to go

Giner seems as if it is torturous to teach this class. He does not communicate well and is not approachable. While the material of the class is difficult, it is do-able, but without a good professor, it seems impossible for those who aren't chem wizards.
