I really enjoy this class, and look forward to it. Jose is a very laid back teacher but I never have an issue with paying attention in his class. Everything he says is important and very interesting. The class helped me a lot.

Great teacher! Jose is more than willing to help you if you ask him. Everything is peer reviews so unless you ask him he don't look at your paper until the final. I only used the one book out of two he requests and it was only for the articles. Super easy, but is very particular when it comes to grading. Does ramble, a lot, you've been warned.

Jose can REALLY lecture about a new paper being introduced, and if you choose to listen you might actually learn something. Harsh grader, just do the assigned readings weekly and visit the writing center if you're grades aren't where you want them to be, I can't stress this enough. If you find time I'd also have him look over every paper before.

Great professor, very clear about what he wants. He made the class fun, hes a lot of fun would defiantly say take him as a teacher if you can. Harsh grader but if you do the work the points are there, very easy to pass just go to class and do the work.

Ungodly boring. Had him for a 3 hr class and wanted to die. He has a screwed up grading system. He is easy but hard to work with. He is unorganized and I would not recommend him to anyone.

TAKE JOSE IF YOU CAN! I had a blast in my English 111 class. He is an awesome guy that is always willing to help. You can take your papers to him during his office hours and he will help you fix them. Genuinely great guy. You will love him if you take him. It is definitely possible to get an A in this class.

excellent professor! would take him again anytime. definitely knows what he is doing and is willing to help with corrections on paper. topics are great too, so you don't get bored. he tends to think he is strict but deep down he is a softy! :)

He is an amazing professor. he makes class a lot of fun and it goes by so fast. he's really funny and is always in a good mood. He's a so so grader, if you do the work and show up on time it's an easy A. He's always willing to help. I would reccommend him, i'd definitely take him again!

I had Soc 111 with him and it was a 3 hr. long class so it got really boring. He gives take home exams which involve writing a 2 page essay for each chapter. You also have to write 3 additional essays. You don't need to take notes, just highlight what he talks about in the book.

Great professor! One of my favorite classes my first semester freshmen year. He's a great teacher, and really helps you out if you aren't understanding what it is he wants from you. Class is made up of five papers, he gives plenty of time to do them, and has peer revision in class. Wonderful person!

I took this class fall semester and I loved it. I passed the class with a B+. The papers were easy but I had alot of grammar problems. Other than that Jose was very helpful and also very funny. I wish I could have gotten in his political science class.

Jose is a good teacher just make sure you don't take him at night because class goes by really slow. Easy class just make sure you actually go because your grade depends on it. Lots of essays to write but they are very easy! Got an A and hate politics!

Assigned a horredous amount of homework, especially for a 100 level class. He required 30 essays! They were not dificult, just very time consuming. He was also VERY BORING!
