Comment:

I took Span for Heritage speakers online. Dr Martin is FANTASTIC. There is A LOT of homework but it's not difficult. I work full time so having reminders and a great calendar helped although I did forget to turn in an assignment that I did too far in advance. He is very kind, very knowledgeable, and a very fair grader.

Condescending. LOTS of homework thats due every other day. Uses his own PowerPoints that arent available to students and doesnt follow the textbook. Wastes class time on videos and off topic discussions. Has a high student drop rate. Stay away.

Professor Martin is super nice. I let him know what issues i was having in my personal live and he is willing to let you retake any exams that have low grades, as long as you put in the effort.

Comment:

Spanish is definitely a tough language to learn! Professor Martin however explains and clears everything thoroughly! His lectures are very explanatory, straight forward, and he always emphasizes the importance of studying and practice! Even being in the back I was always pulled forward with his love for Spanish and the history, it's never a bore!

Spanish is tough! He has a good lecture laid out. I would have preferred for HW to be due one day a week but instead of Wednesdays and Fridays. Other then that the class was good. Textbook is online. No extra credit.

One of the best Spanish teachers out there! Professor Martin is an amazing teacher and extremely nice person, not to mention the fact that he's hilarious. He wants everyone to try their best and does whatever he can to help you. Highly reccommend!

Jose is the best teacher I've ever had and this is my favorite class I've ever taken! He makes a hard language like Spanish seem easy. His classes are fun, engaging and filled with cultural information. He emphasizes active engagement in class and participation is crucial, but he makes it fun. I highly recommend him!

He was by far one of the best professors I've ever had at COC. He is very patient and takes the time to really get to know his students. The class was a lot of fun and the coursework wasn't that difficult as long as you take the time to study and practice signing outside of class. I definitely recommend this class and professor to anyone!

I sincerely wish there were more people like Professor Martinez in the world. I've never written a review for anything but I specifically went out of my way to write this man a good review. He's very knowlegable and wants all his students to pass. His lecture delivery is entertaining and easily understood. I would higly recommend him.

He is very laid back and wants everyone to get good grades on his tests so he helps as much possible. His tests are easy given he sometimes like to give hints. The homework is not a lot and does not take too much of your time. He is a very nice and approachable profesor.

This professor is so awesome! He's firm but he also support and cares for his students. He is very punctual, fast and consistent when posting the work for the class and answering questions or emails from students. He's very knowledgeable in his field. Took this class as a native Spanish speaker and learned so much. This was my first online course and don't have any complaints. Dr. Martin is very accessible, gives great feedback and answers all of your questions. There was weekly assignment's and reading to do but all due by midnight Sunday. If you want to improve your Spanish, take this class!

He is pretty awesome to be honest! He shows you alot of interesting things and facts! HOMEWORK IS ESSENTIAL BUT EASY! I got a bad grade for my homework but just do your homework and itll be easier for you in the tests! Your final is on paper and a interview so make sure you ask for help for pronouncing !

I had problems getting to school a few times during the semester because my car kept breaking down. Once, I even missed a test because of it. Professor Martin took the time to find out what was happening with me, helped me catch up, and even let me make up the test I missed.
