For a beginner's astronomy course, there was WAY too much technical physics jargon. I'd only had biology classes for the last three years, so I was completely lost on that. The test reviews were useless-the actual tests were totally different. First test, the class average was like a 35% and I'd gotten a 42%. But going to the Planetarium was fun.

Amazing man!!!He is the nicest guy you'll ever meet! If you have him MWF, you get to go to the planetarium on Fridays.Tests are harder than you think, so make sure to study and do the extra credit! Overall a great class!

Jose was a very nice man, however he was an awful teacher! I had him for Astronomy, He would blab on and on in class and then the tests wouldn't cover any of the blabbing! He was so boring and I often tried so hard to stay awake in the planetarium. I would not take this class unless you are a brave soul and love to listen to nonsense at 8am!!

hard, very unclear, tests are over stuff we never talked about. class average was 60 or below on all tests. take the class if your gpa is too high! defiitely not just a "fun" general studies class. don't take the class! seriously, you will regret it bad.

I had Jose for astronomy and then for physics. I loved him in astronomy, but didn't in physics. Serioulsy. LOVED astronomy, Hated Physics. not because of my own interest, but because he taught it better.

The tests were online and you had 2 hours to do 100 questions. However, most of the stuff on the test, was never even brought up until the you took the test. Class average on the first test was a 63 and a 55 on the second (keep in mind you could use all of your notes, the internet, partners). I'd shoot myself in the face before taking a class wi

He was a very helpful teacher and respected all of his students! He was always very eager to teach and took a lot of time out of class to help students! I was sick over finals week and he let me take the final 3 months after the class ended!!!

I am a senior-took his class my freshman yr, and the guy still remembers my name and stops to talk whenever we cross paths. Great guy! Loves the subject and there is no way you cannot notice this. Can be difficult material, but he is always more than happy to help. Great class.

Jose is the nicest professor at UNK by far, and perhaps the most intelligent. Works for NASA in the summers. Told us not to call him professor because it commands respect. He said to call him jose and he would try and EARN our respect throught the semester. Go see his planetarium show at all costs.
