This man told my entire lab section that none of us should be nurses because we couldn't perform calculations he never taught. His last test before the final requires you to seek out the material independently with no guidance from the professor. Then he'll rip you apart for not performing well. Not worth the salary he is paid.

The semester I took this class, there wasn't a textbook, we would cover hundreds of slides in a week and a lot of slides had mistakes and unnecessary info, so it became unbelievably difficult to figure out what information there was necessary and accurate. A lot of us would study for hours every day and still get C's on the quizzes and exams

I actually liked the weekly quizzes because you were able to choose which you wanted to answer. Be expected to know DETAILS! His tests are hard and the final is INSANE! The unknowns is complete crap and based on luck, I ended up with a microbe we never even worked with in lab (unfair!) He makes mistakes frequently on grading so double check ur test

Actually a really nice guy. If you put in the work, you'll get good grades. The weekly quizzes end up helping you on exams, because you've been studying. I was scared to take his class after reading other comments but it's really not that bad. However labs were annoying. Just don't be lazy.

You will find that about 75% of lecture and lab tests are on material you studied, but you will find yourself guessing on the rest. Not a forgiving grader. Unknown identification is luck based and very challenging. Weekly quizzes are hard. Final is bizarre and the final week of class has bizarre quizzes. Prepare to work very hard.

He's not a professor. Powerpoint slides set to a 30 second timer could accomplish more than he does. He literally moves through 70 slides in one class hour. If you don't have to take him, don't take him. If you have to take him for your major, I doubt he will change much.

He generally grades as harshly as a person possibly could. Lots of quizzes to keep up with. What's spoken of in class, is not necessarily what is on test. This is a basic Micro class but he tests as though it is 300-400 level. He has his Doctorate and I honestly think he gets bored teaching this class and so he makes it harder than is necessary.

Dr. Colosi is a real scientist who shows a great interest in biology. He's sometimes disorganized, but it's impressive how current he is on whats happening in biology with the amount of teaching he does.

Nice person, not the best teacher tho. Tough grader. Even marks things wrong on tests that were previously right on quizzes because he "changed his mind." Labs aren't much better. He talks like everyone doesn't understand anything and continues the lectures in labs and only leaves about an hour for the actual lab. Not lenient with grade corrections

worst class i've ever taken. reads the bible and prays every class. also contradicts the text book in every lecture so stopped using the book altogether to study for exams. quizzes are unfairly graded and depending on the questions you choose to answer (you can pick 5/10) he grades certain questions much harder than others.

he's a quirky guy, tells lame but funny jokes. you have to get a 95 for an A not a 93 and a 94.9 is not an A unless he decides to round it up cuz u came to every calss. he will round down if you miss more than 4 classes. not the easiest class but not the hardest either. in general he's a nice guy.

He's off his rocker. Sure, we had some good times, but whoever said to "take it in the summer," GOOD ADVICE. Please, heed the warning. It is absolutely impossible to survive this class without losing your mind, or the reasons you kept your major in the first place.

I had opportunity to have Dr. Colosi for a number of M.Ed. courses. I found him very effective, as most of the courses I had with him had a field trip component. He may be a bit disorganized, but he teaches the classes in a way that you remember the material.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.. Colosi sucks as a teacher. His tests are far from anything that is discussed in class. If you need to take Micro, take it at a community college over the summer! It couldn't possibly be any worse than sitting in his class 3 days a week and 2 days for lab
