Comment:
Professor Chuk is a really nice guy, but this is a difficult class. You need to memorize a million terms, and there is a quiz every single day. The exams are really tough, you need to spell every word correct, and you can't pluralize it if it's a singular term. If you don't like memorization don't take this course.

Pretty much everything said here about the way his class is set up is true...BUT Chuk is a good teacher and he teaches a fairly interesting class. He knows what he is talking about and has a passion for it. If you need help he has no problem taking the time to clear things up. Not an easy A but not hard to pass if you take the time to study.

This professor wants you to know all of the terms from the book, but you barely use the book. If you miss one class you're screwed because you take so many notes. You have a quiz every day and also if you spell something wrong on an exam you get points taken off. Hard professor

Probably the hardest class in this major. Each test requires memorizing over 100 terms and their unnecessarily confusing definitions. I spent more time studying for this class than all my other classes, and I still did worse than my other classes. If you have the slightest difficulty with memorizing things, you are doomed to fail this class.

Long, possibly uninteresting lectures, and quizzes every day, but if you read the notes even only once after class, the quizzes are free A's. He's a nice guy, and he's really good at teaching in a way that gets you to understand the stuff.

class in pretty boring but you have to take it. He just lectures the class with a powerpoint. All you have to do to pass is take all the notes, put them on flashcards, and study them. Its a lot to study, but its interesting stuff.

Chuk is nice guy, outside of the classroom. He is willing to help you if you honestly need help. His tests are hard if you do not prepare yourself for them, and even sometimes that may not be enough. It stinks that it is a prerequisite to some other classes. Just make sure you listen more to what he says rather than copying off his slides.

He's a nice guy outside of the classroom, but not the best teacher. There is no class interaction, just a long boring monotone lecture. There is a quiz everyday, usually on things you have no idea about, and his test are very hard if you don't make notecards. If you take his class make sure you MAKE NOTE CARDS. Not the best class, too hard & boring

Chuk is a nice guy but his teaching methods are kind of long winded and inconsistant. He gives a quiz basically everyday and his tests are 40 questions of fill in the blank with no word banks or options. Its the only class ive ever had to drop, but im gona take him next year and maybe bring a taperecorder, cuz damn he is hard to follow sometimes

Quiz every class. Constant studying and intense memorizing, many terms, and many abreviations and their exact meaning. If you misspell a word he will mark you wrong even if you have the correct answer. High level of study involved! Sure to bring down your QPA.

As long as you can take 2 pages of notes very, very quickly you'll be fine, actually all around a decent professor.

This is the one TVR professor who has both a very high level of academic expertise and plenty of hands on experience. He is also a nice, approachable guy. Last, but not least, he does not let his ego get in the way, and if he DOESN'T know something, he doesn't put up a front and pretend he does.

MEMORIZATION! lots of terms. chuk is very knowledgeable and knows it. but class isnt hard as long as you go- pop quizes, and notes are important. gives study guides for tests. test are fill-in (no word bank) and t/f. hard to pay attention for the 2+ hour class but stay awake and turn off phones!
