Wow. One of the best teachers I've ever had. He has a gift for explaining things in a way that makes them crystal clear, and he's a nice guy too. You're definitely lucky if your math class is being taught by Joe Ferrar.

Dr. Ferrar is a great teacher as well as a down to earth type of guy. He is the best math teacher I have ever had in my life. His tests are very challenging. Be prepared to spend hours studying for his exams and hours completing his homework assignments. In the end you will learn a lot of information from him. Take him. Not easy to get an A in this class. But getting a B in this class is like getting an A in other math classes. You can tell he really loves to teach.

He is a great guy as well as a knowledgeable person. His exams are fair IF you are a master of homework and lectures notes. Don't fool yourself by memorizing them because you won't get good grade. He is very helpful, and he is willing to spend time out of the class to help you, but I admit that he is a tough grader.
