This guy was the worst math teacher that I have ever had. He comes in writes on the board and leaves, he does not talk to his students in class. I still never figured out his grading system. He actually called us stupid, and laughed at us for having questions. Horrible Teacher

Comment:

Professor Gaskin is a good teacher, but he doesn't seem to care much about his students. He doesn't have much of a personality and his accent is definitely present. He comes into class and won't even welcome the class like most teachers do, he'll just start right in writing on the board. His tests aren't too bad, 15 points, a test every other week.

As the year progressed classes became shorter and shorter. Also he started bringing his 4year old daughter in, expecting her to sit still for 50 minutes when most college student's cannot do that, needless to say it was very distracting, like his accent. In the end I think he just made my grade up, not joking, cause there's no way I got a B-

His exams are often harder than what was gone over in class and sometimes focus on what was taught just 2 days before. Over 1/2 the class is failing & no curve metnioned. He talks down to class when they do bad on exams and says they were really easy. Make sure he knows you're trying hard...I hear he really takes that into account when grading.

First of all, I am horrible in Math, but Dr. Gaskin is making it easier, always taking step-by-step way to explain new stuff, and exams are all from what we leared in class, not extra stuff. I think learning from him is much easier to undertand math than from textbooks.

He is very funny, pretty nice guy. He really knows his stuff and teaches pretty well. Sometimes he seems a little disconnected- like he doesn't care if you pass or not. But, he was an overall great math teacher. I recommend him!

Gaskin is a wonderful teacher!!! I think if you are there to learn you will do fine, but if you get on his bad side, like goofing off and stuff you won't like his class at all. I liked his teaching style alot...!

This was the best teacher that I had my freshman year. He helped everyone in the class and as long you study for the tests somewhat you will pass them with ease. If you have a question he will explain it and often come over and help you one-on-one.
